The Multicultural Association of Fredericton expressed their
heartfelt gratitude to our church for supporting the Holiday
Hamper project for the Ntamavukiro family from The Congo.
The Holiday Hamper project provided 28 newcomer families
(more than 100 individuals) with a fruit basket, a gift certificate
for groceries, a clothing item for their first Canadian winter and
toys for the children. Thank you for your support to enhance the
lives of many newcomers settling in Fredericton.

Smithtown, NB; Pastor – Rev. Jim Rushton.
CBM Prayer Line
Wayne and Maureen Morgan, CBM field staff in Kenya, welcome
a team from their home church in Prince George (BC).
Canada
Pray for the launch this week of CBM’s new advocacy campaign
as part of SHE MATTERS to raise awareness on the injustice of
gender bias in education.
Lebanon
Praise God for a wonderful, new online training opportunity (the
Certificate in Ministry program) offered by the Arab Baptist
Theological Seminary. “One of the major challenges for the
Church in the Arab world is leadership. As the Church is rapidly
growing there is an increased need for forming leaders who are
well-trained in engaging their Bible and engaging their culture
so that they can make the Good News of the Gospel relevant to
their communities,” notes Elie Haddad, ABTS President and CBM
field staff. “Hundreds more will be able to be equipped and
prepared for ministry through this mode of delivery.” Keep
students and online tutors in your prayers.
Welcome
Thank you for worshiping at Grace Memorial today. First time
guests may pick up a packet of information about the church
and a free gift at the kiosk. If you see notices in the bulletin
that interest you, please don’t hesitate to inquire. We would
love for you to be a part of our church family.
Messages in January
Body Building (Building up the Body of Christ)
Today we conclude the series on Body Building
(Building Up the Body of Christ) with a
message entitled “Exercising Our Spiritual
Muscles.” Like all of creation, God has
intentionally created a beautiful diversity of
people and gifts and functions within the body
of Christ. God has done this so that each part
of the body of Christ can serve in His mission.
We are called to honor and celebrate this diversity as we each
discover our part in God’s plan.

Church Historical Memories
Grace Memorial’s history began with a
congregation of Free Will Baptists in 1845. In
1861 the George Street Baptist Church was
built and dedicated. In 1905 the Church
united with the
Baptist Convention. As the
number of members and
adherents increased during and
after WWII, especially young
people, it became evident that the
building was no longer large
enough to meet present and
future needs. The Trustees were
asked to find a suitable site to
build a new church. In the early
‘60's land was purchased on the
“outskirts”, on Connaught &
Northumberland.
