Monday 2/2/2015 Mentoring 3:30-4:00 On Wednesday night, our NJHS students superseded their goal and brought 159 blankets to the Cardiac ICU @ All Children's Hospital. Many of the blankets were donated by students & families of SPCS and also from people in the community who heard about the project. Our students also made notes of encouragement for each of the children as well as notes of thanks for the nurses. They even delivered a gift basket full of treats and bottled water to bless these nurses! Chief Meteorologist, Paul Dellegatto from Fox 13, visited the first grade classes this week to talk to the children about his job as a Meteorologist and different types of weather. The visit was a treat as the students finished up their science unit on weather this past week. The students had a great time learning about the different tools used to forecast weather and the green screen that is used in the studio at Fox 13! Mr. Dellegatto did a fabulous job with them and we look forward to more visits with him in future years!
