TUESDAY, JANUARY 13TH
8:30-10:00 A.M. NEW STUDENT CHECK-IN*
Lantern Lounge, Waybright Center
This is each student’s first stop at orientation! Students will receive all
the information they need for orientation events, including schedules,
student ID’s, and information from departments such as Student
Financial Services. This session is essential for students to get the
information needed for the new semester.
9:00-11:00 A.M. HOUSING MOVE-IN**
Residence Halls
After students attend New Student Check-In (above), they can get
settled into their assigned residence halls. In addition to moving in,
they will have the opportunity to meet their Residence Hall staff.
6:00-7:00 P.M. DINNER WITH FIRST-YEAR
EXPERIENCE LEADERS AND PEER GROUPS
Lantern Lounge, Waybright Center
Dinner is hosted by First-Year Peer Mentors this evening. New students
will have the opportunity to connect in peer groups and learn more
about life at TIU.
7:00-9:30 P.M. WELCOME BACK COFFEE HOUSE
SPONSORED BY COLLEGE UNION
Melton Hall, Waybright Center
Come out to the Welcome Back Coffee House, a TIU tradition that is held
the night before classes every semester! You’ll get to enjoy some free coffee
and dessert while you listen to Trinity students perform their music.
11:00-11:45 A.M. TIU CAMPUS TOUR
Meet in Waybright Center Lobby
The Admissions Office is hosting a TIU campus tour for new students
and guests. The tour will depart from the NSO Help Desk.
12:15-1:00 P.M. LUNCH WITH FACULTY*
Lantern Lounge, Waybright Center
Students and their families are invited to have lunch with faculty from
each academic division prior to academic advising.
1:00-2:15 P.M. STUDENT SESSION: ACADEMIC
INFORMATION & ADVISING*
Lantern Lounge, Waybright Center
This important session provides students with vital information about
their academic programs and course requirements.
1:00-1:45 P.M. PARENT SESSION: MEET & GREET
WITH TIU ADMINISTRATORS
Heritage Room, Waybright Center
While students participate in academic advising, parents and family
members are invited to have dessert and interact with TIU administrators.
2:15 P.M. FAREWELL TO FAMILIES
The parent portion of orientation concludes at this time.
2:30-4:00 P.M. FACULTY OFFICE HOURS

McLennan Academic Building
Students have the opportunity to schedule appointments with faculty
to discuss any questions they may have.
2:30-4:00 P.M. LATE REGISTRATION FOR CLASSES
(BY APPOINTMENT)
McLennan Classroom 215
Students assigned a Late Registration appointment at the Campus
Information session are required to attend in order to set-up their
course schedules for the spring semester.
2:30-3:15 P.M. TRINITY TECHNOLOGY TRAINING*
OR
3:30-4:15 P.M. ROLFING LIBRARY COMPUTER LAB
Students are asked to attend one of the two times offered for Trinity
Technology Training. They will receive information and training
regarding TIU communication, as well as systems used to register
for and make adjustments to course schedules. As vital information
is distributed to students via TIU email, it is mandatory for all new
students to attend one of the Technology Training sessions.
NOTE FOR COMMUTERS:
Commuters should plan on attending all mandatory
NSO events with the exception of “Housing Move-In.”
NOTE FOR RE-ADMIT STUDENTS:
Re-Admit students should plan on attending all
mandatory NSO events.

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION HELP DESK
The NSO Help Desk is available to assist with questions regarding
New Student Orientation and is located near the main entrance
of the Waybright Center. Tuesday: 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
