Sandra Anderson (H.I.) Initiated into the Himalayan tradition
in 1988, author and teacher Sandra Anderson draws on traditional
yoga texts and 20 years of study and practice under the guidance of Pandit Rajmani Tigunait. She teaches all aspects of yoga
nationally, trains teachers, and instructs programs at the Himalayan Institute where she lives. Visit YogaInternational.com for

Rolf Sovik (H.I.) President and Spiritual Director of the Himalayan Institute and a clinical psychologist in private practice, Rolf
Sovik has studied yoga in the United States, India, and Nepal. He
holds degrees in philosophy, music, Eastern studies, and clinical psychology. He began his practice of yoga in 1972, and was
initiated as a pandit in the Himalayan tradition in 1987. He is the
author of Moving Inward, co-author of the award-winning Yoga:
Mastering the Basics, and a contributor to Yoga International.
Dorothy Spence (108) Dorothy has received her 200 and 500-
hour yoga teacher certification and her Level 1 Parayoga certification. She continues her advanced teachings with Yogarupa Rod
Stryker of ParaYoga and is an Ayurveda Yoga Specialist through
The Himalayan Institute. Dorothy considers herself a “yoga geek”
and is passionate about learning, practicing and teaching yoga. She
is the founder of 108 Yoga Centre.
Heather Reynolds (108) Heather has been teaching yoga
since receiving her 200 hour teacher training in 2007. Heather
has authored several articles and a book on self-development and
realizing one’s potential physically and mentally. Heather has
her 500 hour teaching training certification and has her Level 1
certification as a ParaYoga teacher and student of Rod Stryker, she
is an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist and has 20+ years of experience as
a personal trainer and coach.
Sarah Bannerman Andrews (108) Also a internationally certified sommelier, Sarah’s real yoga journey began in Halifax at 108
Yoga in 2009. She completed her 300-hour yoga teacher training
with 108Yoga in 2010, as well as the 500-hour Advanced Deeper
Practices with the Himalayan Institute in 2013. Sarah holds an
Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist certificate, and currently enrolled in
Advanced Ayurvedic Studies with the Himalayan Institute.

500 Hour Yoga Alliance Training
Double Certification
This 500-Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is designed
as a rich and comprehensive educational and life-transforming experience. Explore
conceptual models of human potential from the Yoga Sutras, Upanishads, and
Tantric Shastras to deepen your experience and understanding of the profound
healing techniques that awaken the fire of consciousness. Learn how to apply the
traditional wisdom from the Sri Vidya lineage of the Himalayan Masters into your
modern, everyday life. Eligible graduates will benefit from this double certification program. This training
is for Yoga Alliance 200-Hour certified teachers and is a dual certification program.
Successful participants will be issued A 500-hour Yoga Alliance certificate, as well
as a 100 hour Yoga Sadhana (spiritual practice) certificate by 108 Yoga on behalf
of The Himalayan Institute.
The program experience culminates in a 5-day immersion at The Himalayan
Institute in Pennsylvania. A digital membership for the duration of the training is
included as well as room and board at The Himalayan Institute.

Program Highlights
· Learn the philosophical foundations of yoga and sankhya and how they are
together woven into the science of the tantra hatha yoga practices for accelerated expansion of consciousness.
· The art of sequencing yoga practices for energetic effect including asana,
pranayama, relaxation and meditation.
· Tantric model of the subtle body: chakras, nadis, bhutas and the soul’s journey in the physical body.
Training Schedule
· Unlock the wisdom of Ayurveda to discover lifestyle skills that will improve
your daily health and vitality.
Friday, 6:30pm – 9pm / Saturday, 10am – 6pm / Sunday, 8am – 4pm
· Apply skills to special populations, yoga for anxiety and depression.
*Friday afternoons 1-5 additionally scheduled for Yoga Sadhana modules
· Design personal practices for yourself and others based on the
wisdom of Yoga, Ayurveda and Meditation.
Tuition and Registration
Tuition for Teaching Traditional Wisdom for Everyday Life is $4500 (plus HST).
Cost includes all classroom instruction, room and board for 4 nights at The Himalayan Institute, and digital membership to Yoga International for the duration of
the training.
