Biography Professor Liling Yue
Prof.Dr.Liling Yue,LL.B, LL.M is professor of criminal law, criminal procedure law, criminal
justice and human rights law, German law at China University of Political Science and Law
in Beijing. She first time received Alexander von Humboldt Scholarship in 1995-1996 and
carry out research at Max-Planck-Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in
Freiburg. She got Fulbright scholarship in 2010-2011, and did research at University of
California, Davis. Being a guest professor, she has delivered lectures in foreign universities
and courts in Belgium, Germany, South Korea, Slovenia, South Africa, Switzerland, United
Kingdom, United States and Vietnam. Being an international expert participated the EU
projects on “Justice Partnership Programme” to help Vietnam to reform criminal procedure
law and procuracy system. (2011) and leading case system (2013). Served as leader of several
research projects, such as effective criminal defense (2008) and criminal trial and human
rights protection (2010),Criminal investigation and human rights protection (2011);EUChina comparative research on sentencing (2011), Implementation of criminal procedure
law(2012) and Participated some important legislative projects, such as criminal procedure
law reform in China from 1994- 1996 and 2012-2013. The main published books are
Criminal Trial and Human Rights Protection, and International Covenant on Civil and
Political Rights-Criminal Justice in China. Numbers of articles were published both in China
and other foreign countries.
Courses Taught: Criminal Procedure, Comparative Criminal Procedure, Comparative
Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice and Human Rights Protection, German Criminal Justice,
Implementation of Human Rights Law, and International Human Rights. English language
courses for foreign students: Chinese Criminal Law, Chinese Criminal Procedure Law, and
Chinese Criminal Justice.
