Mainguy was arrested at 24 Auburn Street Apartment B, Nashua and charged with 2 counts of Domestic Violence – Simple Assault, Class A Misdemeanor, Domestic Violence – Criminal Mischief, Class A Misdemeanor, and Domestic Violence – Criminal Threatening, Class B Felony. On December 16, 2014, at approximately 9:42 p.m. the Nashua Police Department responded to 7 Hanover Street Apartment C for the report of a domestic dispute. Upon the Officers arrival they learned that Mainguy and his ex-girlfriend had been involved in an argument that began on December 15, 2014 and continued into the 16th. It was learned that during the initial argument on December 15, Mainguy assaulted the adult female by grabbing her by her wrists and damaged some of her property. The following day, December 16, the argument continued during which Mainguy grabbed the female by her face. As the incident escalated Mainguy armed himself with a brush axe and verbally threatened the female. Mainguy then swung the brush axe at her, nearly striking her. Mainguy fled the scene but was later located and arrested without incident. The female sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. A Class B Felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Each Class A Misdemeanor is punishable by up to 1 year in the County House of Corrections, exclusive of fines. Mainguy is being held on $10,000.00 cash or surety bail pending his arraignment at 9th Circuit-District Division-Nashua Court on December 18, 2014. -30-
