On December 16, 2014, at approximately 9:42 p.m. the Nashua Police Department responded
to 7 Hanover Street Apartment C for the report of a domestic dispute. Upon the Officers arrival
they learned that Mainguy and his ex-girlfriend had been involved in an argument that began on
December 15, 2014 and continued into the 16th. It was learned that during the initial argument
on December 15, Mainguy assaulted the adult female by grabbing her by her wrists and damaged
some of her property. The following day, December 16, the argument continued during which
Mainguy grabbed the female by her face. As the incident escalated Mainguy armed himself with
a brush axe and verbally threatened the female. Mainguy then swung the brush axe at her, nearly
striking her.
Mainguy fled the scene but was later located and arrested without incident. The female
sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention.
A Class B Felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Each
Class A Misdemeanor is punishable by up to 1 year in the County House of Corrections,
