Professorship (W3) in „Building Physics“
Chair OF Building Physics I as soon as possible
This professorship includes the leadership of a field of activity within the Fraunhofer Institute of
Building Physics in Stuttgart.
The successful candidate is a personality experienced in excellent and interdisciplinary research
and is expected to cover the whole area of Building Physics in research and teaching.
The professorship’s area of work comprises mainly the phenomena of energy, heat, humidity and
light inside components, inside rooms and in the surroundings of structure works, considering
efficiency and sustainability.
Desirable are knowledge and experience in experimental methods, modelling and simulation.
Furthermore, Life Cycle Engineering of products and processes is part of the work.
The participation in teaching Building Physics is expected, mainly in study courses offered by the
Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, including the advanced training course
„Master:Online Building Physics“, and in the graduate program „People inside“.
