„Human Writes – Translating Dalit Short Stories“
Dr. Kunaparti Lalita is the Secretary of Anveshi Executive Committee and Director of Think
Soft Consultants, Hyderabad. She has been associated with the women’s movement in Hyderabad
since the 1970s. She was a founder member of Progressive Organisation of Women (POW) and
one of the key organisers of Stree Shakti Sanghatana from the mid-70s to mid-80s. She was also a
founder member and the first Coordinator of Anveshi between 1985-1996. Together with Prof.
Susie Tharu (Department of Cultural Studies, The English and Foreign Languages University,
Hyderabad, India) she editedWomen Writing in India in two volumes (New York: The Feminist
Press, 1993).
