この講義では、第二次世界大戦後の東アジアとヨーロッパで、ナシ
ョナリズム、記憶、記念事業が相互に関係しあう中で歴史家が果た
す役割を論じる。さらに、東アジアとヨーロッパでは第二次世界
大戦の歴史がいかにまたなぜ重要なのか、それがいかに政治の道具
に使われてきたか、そして冷戦の終結が国内・国際政治と過去の
認識に対してどのような影響を及ぼしたかを論じる。
★この講義は法学部「特別講義（Topics in Comparative Law）」の授業で
行われます。
Prof. dr. Janny de Jong は歴史学とアジア研究を専門としており、特に日
本などの東アジアを、植民地主義の歴史、帝国主義のグローバリゼーショ
ンの視点から研究している。

This lecture addresses the role of historians in the interplay of nationalism, memory and
commemoration in East Asia and Europe after the Second World War. It will discuss how and why
the history of the Second World War still plays a very important role both in Europe and in East
Asia, how it is often used as a political tool, and how the end of the Cold War influenced
international and national politics and the perception of the past.
★This lecture is given at the course, ‘Topics in Comparative Law’, School of Law.
Prof. dr. Janny de Jong is specialized in history and Asian Studies, especially in East Asian history in
the context of colonialism, imperialism and globalization.
