Call for papers
The International Conference Progress in
Biogas IV will be held in Stuttgart, Germany from
8th to 11th of March 2017 at the University of
Hohenheim. The conference is organized by the
IBBK Fachgruppe Biogas GmbH in cooperation
with the University of Hohenheim.
We are seeking for contributions dealing with the
following themes for "Progress in Biogas IV"
For the new professionals on biogas and bio­energy
the conference will be a platform to introduce
themselves. They can also profit from the senior
experts presenting at "Progress in Biogas IV." The
conference will provide the perfect environment to
explore new ideas, debate on new concepts and
present and discuss practical applications.
The development in the fields of production and
process engineering, frame conditions and
utilization possibilities will be presented and
discussed in contribution to and from practice,
science and politics. The fourth edition of the
conference covers the advances in low­tech biogas
plants, biogas generation from biowaste and
wastewater treatment plants, digestate application
and
management,
innovative
digestion
technologies, pretreatment technologies, gas
cleaning and gas processing as well as the optimal
integration of biogas in the energy system.
Futhermore the modelling, controlling of the biogas
process and the inhibition of the process will be
discussed.
The conference will last two days and be divided
into parallel sessions. On the third day, a
"workshop day," in the framework of a total of four
workshops (two in parallel in the morning, two in
parallel in the afternoon) will take place. On the
fourth day the participants will have the opportunity
to visit several attractions in the metropolitan region
of Stuttgart on a guided excursion.

How to submit?
Target Groups
The conference aims to reach practitioners, scientists,
researchers, politicians, decision makers, biogas plant
owners, biogas plant planners, students, companies
working in the field of biogas, NGOs, and all people
interested in biogas, sustainability and bio­energy.

You will present your work to an experienced audience
and will have the opportunity to exchange your knowledge
and with experts from all over the world about the latest
progress occurring in the field of biogas.

The submited abstracts will be reviewed by the
International Scientfic Committee of the Conference.
The accepted abstracts will have also the possibility
to publish in the "Special Issue Anaerobic Digestion"
from the scientific journal "Bioresource Technology."
