Jesus did everything for you by being cursed on the cross in your place and accomplished it by giving His life. It is that we enter into relationship with God which is like “mutual love relationship between husband and wife loving each other and being loved by each other.” That is why Jesus is called Husband and we are His bride. We can never experience the ultimate excellency of faith by that. God wants us to love God as much as we can with all our heart. Just like a sheep needs shepherd, we need God as our Shepherd. This is the message of the bible. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. Mission of the shepherd is not only for people within the church. The shepherd takes care of those who haven’t come to church, unbelievers, those who have different cultures needless to say, those who have different religions, and those who are completely different from him.
