PANAL 361 fosters the intersection of different disciplines and the development of emerging and established artists. This call for applications are for artists interested in doing a research and/or production residency at PANAL 361 (Buenos Aires, Argentina) in August/September 2015. The residency is part of an exchange programme. In 2016 an Argentinean artist will be selected to take on a residency in Vienna with the focus on Sonic/Radio-Art. The Exchange-Call will be announced in August 2015 hostet by Speisekammertag. The creative approach is on SONIC ART. The residency will run at least four weeks from the 10th August till the 30th September 2015. The artists can stay during the whole timeframe or less but shall at least stay 4 weeks at PANAL361. The artists are asked to show some of their works during an exhibition on SONIC ART. The show starts September 22nd 2015. The artists are asked to be present. APPLICATION PROCESS Deadline: 21 th June 2015 All applications must be completed and sent via e-mail to: [email protected] WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY A full application contains: - Austrian citizenship or at least 6 years of residency in Austria. - Application form - Approximate Timeframe of your stay - Project description (min. 500 words/max. 1,000) - CV or Artist resume - A minimum of 5 digital/sound works. In case of video or audio, please submit the link for review. The submission of projects does not grant any rights to participants. All complete proposals will receive a letter of acknowledgment upon arrival. SELECTION PROCESS The call for application will remain open until 14th of June 2015. During this period, Panal 361 will process the applications in the order they were received and will only contact those applicants whose proposal has been accepted by the selection committee. The jury consists of Helena Ferronato, Silvana Osejevich, Julietta Penedo, and Lale Rodgarkia-Dara (AT) The decisions will be based on the materials provided in the application. The proposals will be reviewed by the evaluation committee that will assess the feasibility of the project and that the quality and artistic opportunity are in compliance with the following criteria: + Quality and cohesiveness of the project + Suitability of the project + Feasibility of implementation + If applicable, relationship to other collaborators. + Artistic, conceptual or technical impact + Originality and degree of innovation The information gathered from the application form and the portfolio will remain strictly confidential. It will not be made public or shared PROGRAM DETAILS The residency will take place at Panal 361, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The visiting artists will be provided a studio apartment equipped with a bed, a table, dishware and a bathroom with shower. Artists must follow the rules and regulations of space usage within Panal 361 (schedules, security protocols, use of materials, available facilities, etc.) The space allocation will depend on the type of project and the resources needed. Aside from the work space, shared work areas, common areas and meeting places will be accessible to the visiting artists. The artist agrees to take part on the exhibition (opening September 22nd 2015). The artist authorize to dispose Panal 361 the work /s made during the residence, as well as playing for broadcast and print images as long as my authorship is credited to the same. Once completed residency the artist agrees to take the work/s back. If the work/s is sold to an interested party during their residency/exhibition at Panal 361, the artist agrees to share the revenue equally with Panal 361.
