Join Budokon University founder and yoga liberator Cameron Shayne for a thought provoking conversations around the ethics of social, and personal honesty. 14.30 – 16.30 5 Keys to your Back Bend Our spines are incredible combinations of strength and flexibility. Budokon explores band bends as both dynamic martial arts transitions and static yogic expressions. In this workshop we will explore the five categories of action involved in developing a versatile back bend. Traction - Where the body is bending in a way which developed space and comfort in the joints. Leverage - Where the strength of the arms or legs are used to deepen the backbend, and Contraction - Where the muscles on the back contract to overcome gravity allowing the front body to lengthen. Transition - Where the body must support itself structurally, while moving from belly up to belly down positions.
