Information about grade conversion
The grade point requirement for our Master's programmes differs for each course, but is
generally a minimum of 2,0-2,5 (German grading system). It is calculated from all
semesters of your Bachelor's studies (cumGPA) and converted as specified below.
Please note that the German grading system is based on a 1 to 4 scale, with 1 being the maximum
grade.
Your grade will be converted according to the set guidelines of the Central Office of International
Education using the so-called Modifizierte Bayerische Formel:
Nmax – Nd

Nmax – Nmin
The conversion will be carried out using the standard maximum mark (Nmax) and the lowest pass
mark (Nmin) applicable in the country you obtained your certificates, as well as your grade point
average as shown on your transcript (Nd).
