The Gingerbread Man
Erzähler:
Once upon a time, a little old lady made
a Gingerbread Man.
She put him in the oven to bake.
After a while she heard a tiny voice crying.
Gingerbread Man:
“Help! Let me out!”
Erzähler:
So she opend the oven door.
The little Gingerbread Man jumped out of the oven and frightened the little
old lady. She tried to catch him.
But the Gingerbread Man was too fast. He ran away singing ...
Gingerbread Man:
“Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me ...
I’m the Gingerbread Man.”
Erzähler:
Soon the Gingerbread Man met a duck.
Duck:
“Quack, quack. Stop little Gingerbread Man! I woud like to eat you!”
Erzähler:
But the Gingerbread Man was too fast. He ran away singing ...
Gingerbread Man:
“Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me ...
I’m the Gingerbread Man.”
Erzähler:
Soon the Gingerbread Man met a cow.
Cow:
“Mooo, mooo. Stop little Gingerbread Man! I woud like to eat you!”
Erzähler:
But the Gingerbread Man was too fast. He ran away singing...

The Gingerbread Man ran faster and faster. Then he met an old Fox.
Fox:
“Stop little Gingerbread Man! I want to talk to you!”
Erzähler:
But the Gingerbread Man ran away singing...
Gingerbread Man:
“Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me ...
I’m the Gingerbread Man.”
Erzähler:
But the sly fox said:
Fox:
“I don’t want to eat you. I’m your friend.”
Erzähler:
Soon they came to a river. The fox said:
Fox:
“I will help you cross the river. Jump onto my back.”
Erzähler:
So the little Gingerbraed Man did. Soon the sly fox said:
Fox:
“Now it’s very deep. Jump on my nose.”
Erzähler:
So the little Gingerbraed Man did.
Erzähler:
The fox quickly tilted back his head, tossed the Gingerbread Man into the air
and opened his mouth. SNAP!
That was the end of the Gingerbread Man.
