23 比較級の文
「～より…」比較級＋than+比べる相手形容詞、副詞を比較級に変化させて、比べる
相手を than ～で表して文尾に置く。
形容詞の文
Ken is tall.
Ken is taller than Mark.
副詞の文
Ken runs fast.
Ken runs faster than Mark.
例① English is more interesting than math. 英語は数学よりおもしろい。
② My bag is heavier than yours. 私のかばんはあなたのより重い。
最上級の文
「～の中でもっとも…」 the 最上級＋of (または in）～
「of ～」、「in～」は「～の中で」をあらわす。
of の後ろは「the + 数字」、「all + 複数名詞」など。
…of the three, of the five, of all animals, of all stud ents
in の後ろは場所、組織など。
…in Japan, in Tokyo, in my school, in my family
※形容詞の最上級の前には必ず the をつける。副詞の場合は the を省略できる
形容詞の文
Ken is tall.
Ken is the tallest of the three.
Ken is the tallest in our school.
副詞の文
Ken runs fast.
Ken runs (the) fastest of the three.
Ken runs ( the) fastest in our school.
例 Math is the most important of all subjects. 数学は全ての教科の中で最も重要だ。
My father is the oldest in my family. 父は家族の中で最も年上だ。
Mark practices the hardest of the five. マークはその５人の中で最も一生懸命練習す
る。
1. 日本語と同じ意味になるように空らんに適切な語句を入れなさい。
