Sustainable development in these areas is contingent upon the preservation of living environments and the activity within the region. In order to realize this cooperation, knowledge in a wide range of fields such as electrical and electronic engineering, chemical engineering, and machinery and construction materials is essential. The doctoral program in regional environment systems hopes that by researchers in many different fields exchanging information, the society, culture, and daily life of local environments can be made even better. Through the education of students in this doctoral program, we hope to cultivate professionals with a broad perspective on the local environment and who can take advantage of what expert technicians offer to realize their wn ideas.  20 Functional Control Systems th century Japan pursued manufacturing profit with an emphasis on convenience and efficiency. In addition, in order to ensure human resources who can rise to the challenge of supporting such an industry, the instruction of technicians who have learned and appreciate global values is important. Based on these beliefs, the doctoral program in the functional control systems aims to 1 foster highly-able technicians who have a sense of global value. This major focuses on various fields such as communication function, the development of functional devices, system control, and life functions control. In addition, rather than only emphasizing the research path of the student’s graduate advisor, we hope to foster the growth of researchers who share a connection with entire program and have a united sense of values.
