would＋動詞の原型
①If I were you, I would accept his proposal.
②If you would be alone, I will go out.
③When I lived here, I would often go fishing.
④He would not speak to her.
⑤I thought he would do it by himself.
⑥Would that I could see you now.
⑦I would rather that you didn't smoke here.
⑧I would rather go to the beach.
⑨I would like to go shopping.
①『～だろう』と訳せる仮定法で学ぶwould
If I were you, I would accept his proposal.
もし私が君だったら、彼のプロポーズを受けるだろう。
②『～したい』と訳せる仮定法で学ぶwould
（ちなみにこのwouldはif節中でなければ⑧⑨のように出現）
If you would be alone,I will go out.
もし一人でいたいなら、出ていくよ。
③『～したものだ』と過去の習慣を表す、助動詞で学ぶwould
When I lived here, I would often go fishing.
ここに住んでいた時、よく釣りに行ったものだ。
④『どうしても～した』と過去の強い意思を表す、助動詞で学ぶwould
（多くは否定文となり、『どうしても～しなかった』と訳す。）
He would not speak to her.
彼は彼女に話しかけようとしなかった。
⑤時制の一致によるwillの過去形
I thought he would do it by himself.
彼は自分でそれをやると思った。

⑥『～であればなぁ』と訳せる仮定法で学べるwould
Would that I could see you now.
今あなたに会えたらなぁ。
詩や古文でよく見られる表現だ。昔の表現の名残なので動詞がなかったり（willの動詞表現）主語
がなかったりとめちゃくちゃだが、今もなお使われることはあって、主語を書き、これに副詞の
ratherをつければ⑦になる。こちらは現代でもよく使われる。
⑦『～していただきたいのですが』と訳せる仮定法で学ぶwould
I would rather that you didn't smoke here.
ここでタバコを吸わないでほしいのですが。（ここでタバコを吸わないなら
なぁ）
⑧『～したい』と訳せる助動詞で学ぶwould
I would rather go to the beach.
むしろビーチに行きたい。
⑨『～したい』と訳せる助動詞で学ぶwould
I would like to go shopping.
私は買い物に行きたいです。
