The LLLNZ 50th Anniversary Conference and the LLLNZ Alumnae Reunion are being held concurrently at the
Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre, 58 Waipuna Road, Mt Wellington, Auckland.
The Reunion is hosted by the LLLNZ Alumnae AssociaƟon and all former LLLNZ Leaders, members and longserving acƟve members are invited to aƩend.
LLLNZ Alumnae Reunion: RegistraƟon forms plus further informaƟon about topics and speakers are on the
website www.lalecheleague.org.nz and can be downloaded.
LLLNZ 50th Anniversary Conference: Please refer to the LLLNZ website. Former LLLNZ members wishing to
aƩend any part of the main conference need to register for the conference separately.

complete informaƟon. The Alumnae is unable to receive registraƟons for the LLLNZ conference

Please note that Earlybird registraƟons i.e. before 1 September offer a reduced fee. The Reunion is being held
mainly in one room, Banquet Room 2, which has a capacity of 100 people. To ensure your registraƟon is accepted we urge you to register early. RegistraƟons will be accepted unƟl 26 September if space is available .
The Reunion registraƟon desk will open from 4:00—7:00pm Friday 3 October 2014 and reopen at 8:00am on
Saturday 4th October.

A‘»ÄÊ󽛗¦Ã›Äã: RegistraƟons and payment will be acknowledged in wriƟng in a confirmaƟon email or leƩer. If you have any
queries about registraƟon or payment, please contact the Reunion Secretariat.
CƒÄ‘›½½ƒã®ÊÄÝ Ι R›¥çėÝ: CancellaƟons must be made in wriƟng to the Reunion Secretariat. If, having registered, you are unable
to aƩend please noƟfy us as soon as possible to arrange a transfer of registraƟon or a refund. Refunds will be
made aŌer the conclusion of the Conference. NoƟficaƟon received by 1 September 2014 a full refund less 10%
cancellaƟon fee. Refunds of cancellaƟons received aŌer 1 September 2014 will be made at the discreƟon of
the organisers.

AccommodaƟon is available at advantageous rates at the Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre. You are responsible for your own accommodaƟon. Please contact the hotel and menƟon the LLLNZ Conference to obtain
their special rate. You can book accommodaƟon directly by going to www.waipunahotel.co.nz . Please enter
the booking code LECHE0310 in the box on the right of the homepage and click ‘book now’.
You may wish to team up with a friend and share a room. If so, only one person can reserve the room. Sharing
the cost will be a personal arrangement between you.

The hotel does not offer a direct shuƩle to / from the airport. Depending on which taxi company / shuƩle service you choose the cost of transport from the airport to the hotel is generally about $30 for a shuƩle, along
with general variables such as traffic, etc.

The conference dinners being held on Friday 3 October and Saturday 4th October provide an excellent opportunity to spend Ɵme with old friends and mingle with today’s current La Leche League members.
CÊÄ¥›Ù›Ä‘› D®Äě٠Dinner for Conference and Reunion delegates will be available on Friday evening before the AGM at a cost of
$40.00. If you prefer an a la carte meal you can book directly into the Waipuna Hotel Restaurant.

The LLLNZ dinner on Saturday evening 4 October, Pioneers Dinner Party - looking back, stepping forward will
honour previous office-holders and members of LLLNZ.
We encourage Reunion delegates to aƩend. This celebraƟon is for you!
LLLNZ H®ÝãÊÙù:
Louise Shaw, an Auckland-based social historian has been commissioned by La Leche League NZ to write the
history of La Leche League in New Zealand. The long-awaited book enƟtled Latching On: 50 years of
breasƞeeding support - La Leche League New Zealand 1964 – 2014 will be launched at the Welcome and
Opening Address of the LLLNZ Conference on Friday 3rd October and will be available for sale throughout the
conference at the special price of $39.50. Reunion delegates may aƩend the LLLNZ Conference Welcome and
Opening Address at no charge. .
If you are unable to aƩend the Reunion you may pre-order directly from the LLLNZ at www.lllnzshop.org.nz/
We urge you to obtain at least one book for you and your family. The book encompasses more than dates and
places: it delves into fiŌy years of New Zealand’s social history and is a fascinaƟng must-read.
DVD TÙ®çã›:
Lisa Manning, LLLNZ’s Media RelaƟons Coordinator is producing a moving and memorable tribute that includes
exclusive interviews and reflecƟons from LLL’s Founding Mothers. Excerpts from the DVD will be shown during
the first Reunion session, CelebraƟng Our Story.
LLLNZ AGM:
The LLLNZ AGM will be held in the auditorium on Friday evening 3 October. Former La Leche League members
are warmly invited to aƩend. In addiƟon to the AGM formaliƟes the evening will provide:

The Reunion commiƩee intends mounƟng a display at the Reunion. You are most welcome to contribute any
relevant items clearly marked with your name, address and phone number. Please note the hotel is not
responsible for the return of any memorabilia.

the subject line. Packages need to be delivered to the Hotel between Wednesday 24 September and Thursday
2 October. Please put the following informaƟon on the delivery docket and make sure to include your return
address. You are responsible for making arrangements to collect your items at the conclusion of the Reunion.
