Course Contents After the end of the Cold War, the market economy prevailed worldwide which resulted in widening inequality between countries and within each nation; and destabilizing global human security. This course will show the origin and history of these problems known as "global issues" today, and how the international community is trying to tackle these issues by learning the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), Earth Summit, Global Compact and Academic Impact. This course invites various guest speakers including former and current U.N. senior officials, international NGO's leaders and lawyers. Expected outcome: Students will understand the basics about the United Nations and global problems before the U.N.
