She studied English at Oxford University where she gained a BA, First Class Hons., before going on to complete an MA in Creative Writing (Prose) at the University of East Anglia. She came to Japan with a keen interest in Japanese literature and culture, and has used her time in Tokyo to explore ikebana, calligraphy and Japanese theatre, including Noh and Kabuki. She will be Welsh Government returning to Europe via the Trans-Siberian railway after which she will focus on (Japan Representatives Office)completing her first novel. He obtained both his BA (Hons) in Law and MPhil in Criminological Research from the University of Cambridge. He also undertook a Okinawa, Nishihara cho further Masters in Psychology at the National University of Cuba. Although his primary interest in coming to Japan was to explore issues surrounding prisoners, he has also explored the circumstances of other minority groups such as refugees, the homeless and Work Placement the socially deprived. He was one of six panellists in the 9th National U.S-Japan Youth Japan Association for Refugees Forum. He is alsoKyodo learning to play the koto. In April, he will be moving to Tel Aviv, Israel, Hogan Lovells Horitsu Jimusho Gaikokuho Jigyo to work for an NGO conducting legal research for refugees. She took an English Language and Literature BA at Oxford University. Her undergraduate thesis explored expatriate psychology in Joseph Conrad’s novels. Her main reason for coming to Japan was to pursue a passion for Japanese history of art, particularly of the contemporary period – for which her internship at Mizuma Art Gallery has been an immeasurably enriching experience. After the Scholarship she will stay in Japan to continue working at Mizuma and to improve her Japanese. She will return to London in autumn 2014 for a Masters in East Asian Art at the Courtauld Institute, after which she plans to race back to this part of the world. アナベルは13歳の時まで、東アジアの国々で育った。オックスフォードで英語の学士 を取り、ジョゼフ・コンラッドの小説における海外在住者の心理的側面を卒業論文に 取り上げた。 来日の理由は、日本の芸術史、特に現代について知りたかったからで ある。そこで、ミヅマアートギャラリーで研修を行い、非常に豊かな経験を得ることが できた。この後もミヅマで働きながら、日本語に磨きをかけるつもりだ。10月にはロン ドンのコートールドで東アジアのアートで修士を取り、その後急いでアジアに戻ってく る計画である。 Adrian grew up in Muscat, Oman. He obtained his Masters in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. His original interest in Japan was conservation and satoyama (woods or mountains taken care of by people). After initially Homestay being involved with researchers in Japan and visiting several satoyama villages he Okinawa, Haebaru cho changed his focus to documenting traditional Japanese cultures; this lead to his work with the Reuters Television News team. His internship has given him many first hand Work Placement Thomson Reuters, Television experiences of filming events and has enabled him to share his experiences with the rest of the world. After the Scholarship, he wishes to stay in Japan to improve his Japanese News Team and learn more about rural Japanese culture. He then intends to return to Medical School in the UK - with the hope of coming back to Japan for his clinical placement. ＜ ＞ ＜ エイドリアン・ エイドリアン・ミルン Adrian Mylne ＞ ＜ホームステイ＞ 沖縄県 南風原町 ＜研修＞ トムソン ロイターズ ﾛﾝﾄﾞﾝ衛生熱帯医学大学 テレビニュース部 修士（疫学） ＜Homestay＞ Gifu, Mino city ＜Work Placement＞ Art Centre, KEIO University ＜ホームステイ＞ 岐阜県 美濃市 ローザ ・ヴァン・ ヴァン・ヘンスバーゲン Rosa van Hensbergen ＜研修＞ ケンブリッジ大学 学士（英文学） 慶應義塾大学 アート・センター エイドリアンは、マスカット（オマーン）生まれ。ロンドン衛生熱帯医学大学で疫学の修 士を得た。当初の来日の興味は里山で日本の環境保護であった。しばらく日本の研 究者を手伝いながら里山を訪問した後に、焦点を伝統的な日本の文化を記録するこ とへと変え、それをロイターのテレビ部の研修で実践した。研修期間には伝統的な日 本文化を直接取材するという経験をして、世界へと発信することができた。奨学金修 了後も、日本語をさらに学習し、日本についてより多くを学ぶために日本にいることを 希望しているが、一度英国で医学を学び、再度臨床で日本に戻る予定。 Whilst reading English at Cambridge, Rosa took part in a number of activities relating to dance and poetry. Since then, she’s been searching for ways to connect the two. In this search, she traveled to Japan over land and sea on a Harper-Wood Studentship, discovering the dance form, Butoh. It seemed to use a kind of poetic language, but without knowing Japanese it was hard to be sure. Deciding it would help to know the language, she applied to the Daiwa Scholarship. Aside from language learning, she spent the time researching butoh, writing poetry, and making performance work. She’ll keep on with this for another two years at Oxford, and hopefully find herself returning to Japan for research sometime soon. ケンブリッジで英語を専攻している間、ローザはダンスと詩に関する活動に参加した。 それ以来、彼女は、この二つをつなぐ方法を探していた。やがて、ハーパーウッド奨 学金を得て、はるかなる日本へ旅立って、「舞踏」を発見した。それは一種の詩的な 言語を使用しているかのようだったが、日本語の知識がなく、確かめるのは難しかっ た。日本語を知ることが大切だと判ったので、大和スコラーに申し込んだ。言語学習 の時間以外は、舞踏を研究し、詩を書き、パフォーマンスをすることに時間を費やした 。彼女はオックスフォードでもう2年この研究を続けたあとに、この研究のためにすぐ に日本に戻ってくる計画。
