謝辞 — One World, One Life — ICAC KOBE 2014 Thank You Message — One World, One Life — 公益社団法人 Knots 理事長・冨永佳与子 Kayoko TOMINAGA, Chairperson, Public Interest Incorporated Association Knots (PIIA Knots) ICAC KOBE 2014 の開催に際し、斯くも多くの皆様のしたのは、「ひとつの豊かな地球は、ひとつひとつのいのご支援・ご協力を賜りましたこと、改めて心より御礼申ちの幸せをつないでいくことで構築されていく」のではし上げます。ないかということです。来年は、阪神・淡路大震災から 20 年を迎えます。震この概念を、『One World, One Life』と標題に表現さ災から 15 年を契機に、様々ないのちに対する責任に向せて頂きました。世界はグローバル化し、私達は、お互き合おうと設置されたこの会議は、回を重ねるごとに、いに影響し合うこと無しに、生活することは出来なくなっその関わる範囲の幅広さと共に、「ヒトもまた生き物であています。ひとつの豊かな地球へとつながるように、こり、あらゆる生き物の存在があり、私たちの住む地球がこ神戸から、全ての生き物達のたくさんの喜びと幸せをある。それは分断されるものではなく、つながったもの創出していけるよう、議論を深めて頂ければと願っておである」という当たり前の事実に、改めて私達の目を向ります。けさせてくれました。 ICAC KOBE のキーワードは、『お互いの存在に感謝し、生きている限りは幸せであることが、いのちに対する責任である』というものです。この会議を通じ辿り着きま I would like to thank you all, from the very bottom of my heart, for the generous support and cooperation you have provided towards ICAC KOBE 2014. Next year will witness the 20th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji (Kobe) Earthquake. As you know already, this conference was originally started to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the disaster. It set out to force us to recognize the responsibilities we have towards life, and to all lives in their various forms. Each time we hold this conference we see the number of fields that need to be covered expand and expand. This has helped us remember the simple fact that ‘we humans are just another living creature among a huge variety of living creatures existing and sharing the Earth, a single planet on which we all live. Our lives are not so separate, they are intricately joined together’. The key thought behind ICAC KOBE is that ‘we have a responsibility to ourselves, and to the gift of life we have been given, to live happily and be thankful for each other’s existence’. This conference can reinforce our appreciation that ‘our Earth becomes a more fulfilled and richer planet 10 りぶ・らぶ・あにまるず神戸アニマルケア国際会議 2014 when the happiness of one individual life is connected to that of another.’ I would like to express this concept in the title words ‘One World, One Life’. We live in a globalized world in which it has been become impossible for us to live without impacting on others. It is my most sincere hope that we can deepen our discussions and play our part in leading people towards a more enriched world and producing more happiness for all living creatures.
