4. SAFER INHOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT
4. Safer Inhospital Environment
(安全な病院内環境 )
Though hospitals are supposed to be safe places where the injured or ill
go to recover, the institutions may be filled with potential dangers for
young patients. Possible hazards are dangerous radiators, unlocked
medicine rooms, windows without screens, wet, slippery floors, sharp
syringes or blades left out on patient tables.
These are due to either carelessness in normal day-to-day hospital routine
or lack of understanding of the potential dangers to children within the
hospital environment. Greater attention must be paid to keep hospitals safe
for children.
