For one we need to make sure there is enough food to feed a growing world population. Along with food we will need to begin to protect and distribute clean water throughout the world. As a result of climate changes and imbalances, there is an unfair distribution of clean water in the world, and without clean water people get sick and die. Also, more effort needs to be made to create a peaceful environment for people to live and work in, which requires a stable economic base everywhere in the world. Therefore, something needs to be done to create more equality in the world so people can concentrate on living, not competing. (150 words) (別解) To make the world safer for future generations, I believe our present system of government and education needs to be changed drastically. Wars continue to destroy peoples’ homes and lands around the world in spite of all our technological progress, so something is not right. Our technology has now become a great threat, as indicated by the fact that we have experienced several serious nuclear accidents around the world. We need to decide the direction our lives should take in future, and I think that means going back to the basics. We need to return to nature and learn to live in and with nature. We are too far away now to understand the true value of things and so it has become too easy for us to kill other human beings. Our present system is not working, so first of all it must be changed.
