第 2 回 ASCON-IEECE(10/12-14, 2010)について ASCON は 1988 年東京で最初に開催、気固流動層及び気液固三相反応器研究を主要テーマに２年ごとに、台湾、韓国、日本、タイ国を順に開催国を替えながら続けられてきました。１昨年(2008 年)は札幌で、従来の流動層、気液系、気液固系操作に加えて新たにエネルギー、環境を包括して、札幌で、会議名称 1st Asian Conference on Innovative Energy and Environmental Chemical Engineering が林潤一郎先生のもとで開催されました。今回は 2nd ASCON-IEECE としてタイ国のリゾート地プーケットで開催されるものです。バンコックでのデモ騒ぎで開催などに不安を感じておられる方もおられるかと思い、開催主催者の Chawalit 准教授（Chulalongkorn Univ.）に問い合わせたところ、UDC によるデモはバンコックの一部の地区で行われていることで、開催地のプーケットでの開催予定に何の影響も無いとの下記のような返事をいただきました。なお、Abstract 申込の Dead line が当初の予定から 1 ヶ月延長され、5 月 31 日になりましたことをご連絡します。今からでも十分間に合いますので申込をよろしくお願いします。申込課題分野などについて、添付の First Circular を参照下さい。（連絡先；室山勝彦、関西大学環境都市工学部：[email protected]）以下は Chawalit 先生からの連絡です。 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Dear Professors and Colleagues, There are some worries about the situation on preparation for the 2nd Asian Conference on Innovative Energy & Environmental Chemical Engineering (ASCON-IEECE 2010), to be held at the Laguna Beach Resort, Phuket, Thailand between October 12 - 14, 2010, due to the strong demonstration in Bangkok that you would hear from the news. The demonstration is limited in a part of Bangkok, while our conference venue is located in Phuket Island (in the South of Thailand, 862 km. from Bangkok). Therefore, the conference arrangement will not be affected by such a demonstration. I, on behalf of the Conference Chair, would like to confirm that ASCON-IEECE 2010 will be held at the same place and same period. The submission of your work to ASCON-IEECE 2010 is still welcome since the deadline of abstract submission is extended to May 31, 2010. Also, the notice to the representative author for acceptance is postponed to June 30, 2010.
