JLR - Paint Facility Engineer Department: Advanced Manufacturing Engineering reporting to Lead Engineer & Departmental Manager. Paint Advanced
Manufacturing Engineering are responsible for introduction of new facilities,
materials product lines and current vehicle freshening programs into Solihull
Paintshop Paint Facilities Engineering are responsible for the introduction of new
facilities and equipment required to process new materials & product programmes
through the Paint Shop. Key Responsibilities Working within a team and working
with various members of the wider Manufacturing & AME team, the Senior
Engineer will be responsible for the support and delivery of the following
elements: Successful candidate will be responsible for supporting new product
introductions to JLR's Castle Bromwich Paint shop, the role includes but is not
limited to: Feasibility Investigations, prototype build support, Project Planning,
Facilities Engineering & modifications, Project management, Developing &
maintaining master schedules, control of documentation issued by subcontract base
etc… Successful candidate will work closely with Paint Production department and
other Engineering disciplines across JLR to deliver programs & facility projects to
cost targets and timing. Successful candidate will provide a Manufacturing
Engineering support role to Plant personnel as a member of cross- functional teams
for problem solving and continuous improvement activities with regard to Safety,
Quality & Cost. Successful candidate will be responsible for management of
facility documentation on the projects they work on in line with AME procedures,
supporting TS, ISO, SHARP, LQOS & FPS internal and external audits.
Responsible for all aspects of Capital Expenditure Project tracking focusing on
Product & Non product related expenditure from project conception through to
delivery, commissioning & handover to the customer in line with policies &
procedures utilised within JLR. Lead & partake in multifunctional New Equipment
Procurement Teams through all project phases ensuring company procurement
procedures are met & adhered to. Will have knowledge of Manufacturing
Proceses & Facilities employed to deliver the product to the correct quality
standard. Candidates will be based at Landover's Solihull Paint Shop but should be
prepared to work in all JLR Paint shops on a secondment basis should the need
arise. Track project based KPI's & make ready for report out to departmental
manager on a weekly basis.
