Surcharge for 2014 high season During the high season a surcharge is levied for the use of the moorings as laid down in this arrangement. This amounts to 10% on the total reservation fee. The 2015 high season is from 16 March to 16 May inclusive. f Surcharge for specific moorings River-cruise ships that reserve and receive a specific mooring must pay the following surcharge: - moorings category 1a through f: 10% on the reservation fee - moorings category 1g: 15% on the reservation fee g No fee is charged for reserving and using a mooring on behalf of training, or for Dutch or foreign hospital or navy vessels, as long as no paid services or transport is being provided. Vessels of maritime services, freighters and tankers are not required to pay a fee for using a mooring to change their crew. Exemptions from the reservation fee can also be granted by or on behalf of the Harbour Master. h Under this arrangement part of an hour is charged as a full hour. i If the reserved mooring will not be used and the Harbour Master is notified in writing at least 1 week before the reservation date, then 50% of the amount paid on behalf of the reservation will be refunded. This is excluding administration costs. If a vessel from the same shipping company cancels its reservation and subsequently reschedules the reservation for the same date and time, this will be considered a new reservation. No rights may be derived from the reservation, until the reservation fee has been paid. If a reservation is requested for other moorings than mentioned in the preceding paragraph and this does not conflict with the port's general interests, then the same rates also apply. The rates mentioned in points I through VIII are excluding VAT. All works, goods and services that are provided by the Harbour Master are subject to VAT (Value Added Tax). The amounts due shall be paid on or before the due date as mentioned on the invoice. If the payment obligation will not be met, the reservation will be cancelled. In addition to paying a reservation fee, vessels are also required to pay port dues, to be remitted to Waternet.
