Brothers and sisters in Christ:
Here is a boost to your faith you will not want to miss!
Three years ago we gave you all a copy of Matthew
Kelly, REDISCOVERING CATHOLICISM. (If you
joined our parish since then, we have a few copies if you
want to read it.) Most were enthusiastic about the book,
especially about Kelly’s engaging, energetic style.
Since then his Dynamic Catholic Institute has really taken
off, especially his presentation on Living Every Day
with Passion and Purpose. Ordinarily he does not
present this program to a parish as small as Queen of
Angels in Port Angeles. But Q. of A. has sold him on its
international character (many are coming from Vancouver Island). Thus this is a very rare opportunity for our
parish and we are grateful to Queen of Angels for their
initiative.
Matthew’s presentation is on Friday, June 26 at the
Port Townsend High School Auditorium, from 7:00 10:45 p.m. Originally, I thought this late hour would
discourage many of you who would not want to drive
back in the dark. There are two options: 1) you may
want to stay overnight in PA, see the sights on Saturday
morning, and drive back in the afternoon. Or 2) you can
carpool with someone who can drive at night. We will
do everything possible to make this work, because this
program is worth it.
If you are dubious, do not make up your mind until you
see his three minute video at all the Masses next weekend. I am quite sure that by the end of that video you
will want to go. The cost of the ticket is $39, and you
will be getting about $15 worth of inspirational materials
included in the ticket price. If you think the price is
steep, remember that it is the cost of a concert in the
barn at the Olympic Music Festival, and less than a ticket
to some rock concerts.
I guarantee that this will be a priceless boost to your faith
and to the spiritual energy of our parish. DON’T MISS
IT!!!
