The Midland International Express Vision: The Vision of Midland International Elementary is to develop internationallyminded, life-long learners who exhibit intercultural understanding and respect. Colorado Springs School District 11 Midland.d11.org A Note From Mr. Cramer Mission: We offer a student-centered, inquiry-based curriculum that is both challenging and relevant. We provide a safe, nurturing learning environment while encouraging students to make meaningful contributions to our ever-changing world. Principal’s News Dear Midland International Parents and Guardians, Wow, the May newsletter already! It’s hard to believe that the 14-15 school year is almost over. We do still have an important few weeks ahead of us with lots of learning, presenting, assessment, and work that helps set the stage for a successful and meaningful end to this year and a springboard for the 2015-2016 school year. I don’t like to start on a somber note, but I’m sure you’re all aware at this point of the devastating earthquake that took place in Nepal on Saturday, April 25th. We do have personal connections to Nepal as we have both a current and former (now in high school) student who are from Nepal. The parents have assured me that their extended family members are safe, which is good news. The bad news is that there will be a large need for ongoing aid to help with the rebuilding process as so many people are now homeless. Midland will be running a charitable donation campaign starting May 1st – May 15th to collect funds that we will contribute to a vetted charity that is working in Nepal to May 1, 2015 that you’re here; we love being a part of the International Baccalaureate organization; we love working with your stuas well. dents each and every day.
