"Reminder PTA, SLT and Title 1 Committee Election Meeting Memo"
Dear Parents & Guardians,
Parent Teacher Associations, School Leadership Teams and Title 1 Committees are
representative of all parents within their schools, including parents of children receiving
special education services, children who are English Language Learners, children eligible
for Title I, and children participating in gifted and talented or magnet programs. PTAs,
SLTs and Title 1 Committees must have bylaws to establish a formal structure, and must
solicit participation and support from the parent community. (See Section I.G.1). PTAs,
SLTs and Title 1 Committees must comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations in
a way that respects the rights of students, parents and staff.
We are looking for parents, guardians and teachers who would like to be a part of the
2015-2016 (July-June) Parent Teacher Association, School Leadership Team and Title 1
Committee. Vacancies on the PTA are: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary
and Corresponding Secretary. The SLT will have two parent member vacancies. The Title
1 Committee positions are: Chairperson, Co-Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary.
We are seeking individuals to take part. Those who are interested should attend our
Election meeting on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 at 6:00pm. Please note nominations
will be taken from the floor. At this meeting you can nominate yourself or someone else.
You must also be a parent member of PS106X to vote or become a candidate. Validation
of such will be verified. Refreshments will be served!

Estimados Padres y Tutores, Las asociaciones de padres y maestros, Equipos de Liderazgo Escolar
y Título Comités 1 son representativos de todos los padres en sus escuelas, incluyendo a los
padres de los niños que reciben servicios de educación especial, los niños que están
aprendiendo inglés, los niños elegibles para el Título I, y los niños que participan en dotados y
talentosos o programas magnet. PTA, SLT y el Título 1 Comités deben tener estatutos para
establecer una estructura formal, y deben solicitar la participación y el apoyo de la comunidad
de padres. (Ver Sección I.G.1). PTA, SLT y el Título 1 Comités deben cumplir con todas las leyes,
políticas, normas y reglamentos de una manera que respete los derechos de los estudiantes, los
padres y el personal.
Estamos buscando a los padres, tutores y profesores que quieran ser parte de la 2015-2016
(julio-junio) Asociación de Padres y Maestros, Equipo de Liderazgo Escolar y Título Comité 1.
Las vacantes en la PTA serán puestos: Presidente, Vicepresidente, Tesorero, Secretario y
Secretario Correspondiente. El SLT tendrá dos vacantes de miembros de los padres. Las

Estamos buscando personas para participar. Esos son interesados deberán asistir a nuestra
reunión Elección en Miércoles, 27 de mayo 2015 a las 6:00 pm. Por favor, tenga en cuenta las
