Estimados colegas,
Es un placer anunciarles la 16 edición del Congreso Científico Internacional del Centro Nacional de
Investigaciones Científicas, a celebrarse del 22 al 26 de junio de 2015 en el Centro de Convenciones de
La Habana, Cuba. Cada cinco años, el evento reúne a un importante número de especialistas nacionales
y extranjeros con el objetivo de discutir no solo sobre los temas desarrollados por la institución, sino
también para la exhibición de productos innovadores y tecnologías de las industrias médica,
farmacéutica y biotecnológica.
El Congreso será una excelente oportunidad para conmemorar el 50 aniversario de nuestra institución,
rodeados por la famosa hospitalidad cubana. Nos honra contar con su presencia en tan importante
ocasión, con la certeza de que esta nueva edición ayudará a establecer o fortalecer los lazos de
cooperación entre especialistas e investigadores.

IDIOMAS OFICIALES: Español e inglés
NORMAS Y REQUISITOS PARA LA ELABORACIÓN DE LOS RESÚMENES
Aunque los trabajos completos podrán ser presentados en cualquiera de los dos idiomas oficiales del Congreso,
español o Inglés, los resúmenes sólo se aceptarán escritos en Inglés.
Es requisito que al menos uno de los autores del trabajo, se haya registrado y pagado la cuota de inscripción.
Utilice cualquier versión de Microsoft Word, formato de página A4 con márgenes de 2,5 cm y tipo de letra Times
New Romancon interlineado sencillo. El documento deberá salvarse en formato de MS Word (DOC) o,
preferentemente, en Rich Text Format (RTF). El espacio total no deberá exceder de una página.
El título del trabajo se pondrá con un tamaño de letra de 16 puntos y constará preferiblemente de no más de 20
palabras.
Se plasmará el nombre y apellidos de los autores y de las instituciones a que pertenecen. El tamaño de letra será de
12 puntos para los nombres de los autores y 10 puntos para la filiación. Aunque no hay un límite en el número de
autores, agradeceríamos que se incluyan en el resumen hasta los seis primeros solamente para facilitar la edición. El
nombre del autor que presentará el trabajo deberá ser subrayado.
Se aportarán de tres a siete palabras clave.
El límite de palabras del cuerpo del resumen es de 250 sin incluir el título ni los nombres y filiaciones de los autores.
El tamaño de letra en este caso será de 12 puntos. El resumen debe reflejar brevemente la estructura del trabajo
completo (Introducción, Materiales y Métodos, Resultados y Discusión, Conclusiones). No deben incluirse imágenes,
tablas, fórmulas, símbolos complejos ni acrónimos en el cuerpo del resumen. La fecha tope de envío de resúmenes
será el 31 de marzo de 2015.
Los resúmenes serán revisados por el comité evaluador del Congreso, a quien compete la aceptación o no de los
trabajos como presentaciones orales o carteles.
En el caso de los audiovisuales, junto con el resumen deberán enviarse dos copias de los trabajos vía correo postal,
con dos meses de antelación al evento.

It is a pleasure to announce the 16 edition of the International Congress of the National Center for
Scientific Research CNIC'2015, which will take place from June 22 to 26, 2015, at the International
Conference Center of Havana, Cuba. Every five years, this meeting brings together a large number of
national and foreign specialists with the aim to discuss not only on the topics developed by the
institution, but also for the exhibition of innovative products and technologies of the medical,
pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries.
The Congress will be an excellent opportunity to commemorate the 50th anniversary of our institution,
surrounded by the famous Cuban hospitality. We are honored to have your presence in this important
occasion, with the certainty that this new edition will help to establish or strengthen ties of cooperation
between specialists and researchers.

ABSTRACTS
Although papers could be presented in either official language of the Congress, Spanish or English, abstracts will be
accepted only in written English.
It is a requisite that at least one author of the paper registers himself and pays the corresponding registration fee.
Use any version of Microsoft Word to make the abstract document, which should be formatted to A4 page size with
2.5 cm margins and as font type use Time New Roman and single line spacing. The document should be saved in MS
Word format (DOC) or preferably in Rich Text Format (RTF). The total area shall not exceed one page.
Use a font size of 16 points for the title, which should preferably consists of no more than 20 words.
Author names and affiliations should appear using a font size of 12 and 10 points, respectively. Although there is no
limit for the number of authors, we would very appreciate if only the six first authors are included in the abstract to
facilitate edition work. Underline the name of the author who is going to present the work.
Provide three to seven keywords for the document.
Limit the body text of the abstract to a maximum of 250 words without including the title, the author names and
affiliations. Use a font size of 12 for the body text. The abstract should briefly express the structure of the whole
document (Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions). Please, don’t use images,
tables, formulae, complex symbols or acronyms in the body text.
The dead line for abstracts submission is March 31th, 2015.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the organizing committee, who will decide the acceptance of submissions as oral
presentations or posters. All the abstracts of the accepted works will appear in the official CD-ROM of the congress.
