La Dirección General de Normas
(DGN) de la Secretaría de Economía, tiene el agrado de extenderles una cordial invitación para

Normas

(COPANT) 2015, que se celebrará
del 13 al 17 de abril del 2015 en
la Ciudad de México.
La DGN como la entidad responsable del sistema nacional de normalización en México y miembro activo de la
COPANT, se siente honrada de hospedar la próxima
Asamblea. Se espera que como integrantes logremos
generar las estrategias y articulemos un posicionamiento ante los diferentes organismos internacionales de
normalización, para ver reflejados los intereses en beneficio de nuestra región, lo anterior, también, con la
proactiva participación y apoyo de los miembros adherentes que sin duda impactan en beneficio de la comunidad internacional de normalización.

Commission (COPANT) 2015, to be held fin Mexico City
in April 12th to 17th.
The General Bureau of Standards is the entity responsible for the National System of Standardization in Mexico. is an active member of COPANT and feels honored of
hosting 2015 General Assembly. It is expected to generate strategies and articulate a position before the different IInternational Standards Bodies to see reflected our
interests in benefit of our region. This will be achieved
through participation and support of our Adherent
Members which undoubtedly create a positive impact to
the International Standards Community.
Gathering that way will allow us to generate an exchange of enriching experiences that will establish the path
to a strengthening of the regional and international normative framework.

Los horarios de trabajo tienden a ser de 9:00 a 18:00 hrs.

Las tiendas y centros comerciales de 11:00 a 20 hrs.

CLIMA Y VESTIMENTA / WEATHER AND CLOTHING
El clima en la Ciudad de México en abril es templado y algunas veces llueve. En promedio los rangos de temperatura
andan entre los 12°C y 26°C. Puedes portar sweaters ligeros
o cardigans para el uso cotidiano.
The weather in Mexico City in April is generally warm, but sometimes it rains. The
average daily temperature ranges between 12°C and 26°C. Light sweaters or cardigans are best for everyday wear.

VISA, Mastercard, VISA Electron se aceptan. Cuesta trabajo encontrar lugares donde acepten American Express.

MONEDA Y TIPO DE CAMBIO / CURRENCY EXCHANGE
El tipo de cambio en México es el peso mexicano. El peso se
divide en 100 centavos. Existen billetes de 20, 50, 100, 200,
500 y 1000 pesos. Existen centavos de 10, 20 y 50 y monedas de 1, 2, 5, 10 y 20 pesos. En bancos es fácil cambiar los
euros y los dólares. Las divisas están en promedio de la siguiente manera: 1USD = 13MXN y 1EUR= 17MXN.
The Mexican currency is the peso. The peso is divided into 100 cents. There are
bills of 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000. You can find cents of 10, 20 and 50 and
coins of 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 pesos. In Banks is easy to change euros and dollars. The

El suministro de electricidad en México es de 127 Volts. La frecuencia de 60 Hz. Se utilizan clavijas de 2 o 3 espigas o terminales. Se recomienda traer adaptador y convertidor.
The electric supply in Mexico is 127 Volts. The frequency is 60 Hz. You can use flat
2-pin plugs or with a 3rd one. We recommend that you bring along an appropriate
adapter and converter.
VACUNAS / VACCINATIONS
Para entrar a México no se requiere de vacunas. Pero contratar
un seguro médico es recomendable.
No vaccinations are required for entry to Mexico. Health insurance is recommended.

Se les facilitará el acceso a Internet a los delegados y participantes de la Asamblea General de COPANT. Hay conexiones

El español es el idioma oficial en México. Muchos
mexicanos en la Ciudad de México que se encuentran en lugares turísticos son capaces de entender
el inglés.
Spanish is the official language of Mexico. Many Mexican people located in touristic places of Mexico City are able to understand English.
FUMADORES / SMOKERS
No está prohibido fumar en las calles o áreas públicas a menos
que así se señale. No se fuma dentro de restaurantes, para ello
hay algunos lugares con terraza.
Smoking is not prohibited in most public areas or streets unless
there´s a sign. You can´t smoke in restaurants but there are places that have smoking areas and terraces.
IMPUESTOS / TAXES
Los impuestos de valor agregado (IVA) equivalen al 16% y generalmente vienen incluidos en
los totales de los tickets de compra.

PROPINAS / TIPPING
En México se acostumbra dar mínimo el 10%. Si el servicio o atención fueron formidables entonces se da el
15%.

TURISMO / SIGHTSEEING
CASTILLO DE CHAPULTEPEC / CHAPULTEPEC CASTLE
Está localizado en la cima del cerro de Chapultepec. Antiguamente fue un lugar sagrado para los aztecas, y los edificios en su cima han tenido diversos propósitos durante
la historia. Fungiendo desde academia militar, residencia
imperial, residencia presidencial, observatorio, y actualmente alberga al Museo Nacional de Historia.
Is located on top of Chapultepec Hill. Once upon a time, it used to be a sacred
place for the Aztecs. All the buildings on top of it have served for several purposes throughout history. They have been a Military Academy, an Imperial residence, a Presidential home, an observatory, and presently, the Museum of National History.

MONUMENTO A LA REVOLUCIÓN / MONUMENT TO THE REVOLUTION
El Monumento a la Revolución es un monumento que conmemora el suceso al cual
debe su nombre. Considerado el arco triunfal más alto del mundo, tiene una altura de
67 mts. El edificio también funge como
mausoleo para los héroes de la revolución
de 1910: Francisco "Pancho" Villa, Francisco
I. Madero, Plutarco Elías Calles, Venustiano
Carranza, y Lázaro Cárdenas.
The Monument to the Revolution is a monument commemorating the Mexican
Revolution. Considered the tallest triumphal arch in the world, it stands 67 meters (220 ft) in height. The structure also serves as a mausoleum for the Mexican
Revolution heroes of 1910, Francisco "Pancho" Villa, Francisco I. Madero, Plutarco
Elias Calles, Venustiano Carranza, and Lazaro Cardenas.
PASEO DE LA REFORMA
Paseo de la Reforma es una avenida amplia
que corre diagonalmente a través del corazón de la Cd. de México. Fue diseñada acorde a los grandes bulevares de Europa, como
el Ringstrasse en Viena, y los Campos Eliseos en París.
Después de la intervención francesa en México, el nuevo emperador Maximiliano,
encargó una gran avenida que conectara el Centro de la Ciudad con la residencia
imperial, el Castillo de Chapultepec.
El proyecto se llamó originalmente “Paseo de la Emperatriz”, en honor a su consorte, la Emperatriz Carlota. Después del regreso de ésta a Europa, y posterior ejecución de Maximiliano, el restaurado gobierno de Benito Juárez renombró el Paseo en
honor a la guerra de Reforma.
Paseo de la Reforma is a wide avenue that runs diagonally across the heart of Mexico City. It was modeled according the great boulevards of Europe, such as the
Ringstrasse in Vienna and the Champs-Élysées in Paris. After the French intervention in Mexico the newly crowned Emperor Maximilian commissioned a grand avenue linking the city center with his imperial residence, Chapultepec Castle. The
project was originally named Paseo de la Emperatriz ("Promenade of the Empress") in honor of Maximilian's consort Empress Carlota. After her return to Europe and Maximilian's subsequent execution, the restored Juarez government renamed the Paseo in honor of the Reform War.
