April 2015 C I T Y O F B R E W ST E R NEWSLETTER SPRING CLEAN UP WEEK APRIL 20 — APRIL 24 Spring clean-up week will be the 4th week in April with the City removing and picking up yard debris (grass trimming, tree trimming, etc.) in the alleyways throughout the city. There are a few rules, which you have to abide by before the crews will pick debris up. They are: YARD DEBRIS ONLY, that means grass clippings, limbs, leaves, dead plants, etc. short boards (under 4’) without nails are ok. Please do not bag any materials. We will not pick up anything in bags. It is too difficult to open the bags to inspect for unwanted materials, so we simply will not do it. No bags please! No rocks, dirt, sod, plastic or metal pipe, sheetrock, roofing or building materials, furniture, junk, car parts, batteries, garbage of any kind, petroleum products. No dead animals, asphalt, metals, rubber or plastic products. This is for our safety and yours as well. We will inspect all piles for any unwanted materials mentioned above. If unwanted materials are discovered, we will not pick up the pile. So please do not try to “hide” anything in the piles. Please pile your debris away from walls, fences and wires. We will be using a front-end loader to pick up the piles. Place as far away from obstructions as possible without blocking the alleyway or your neighbor’s driveway. Try to place your piles perpendicular to the alley. This makes it easier to pick up with the loader. THE FIREWORKS FUND NEEDS YOUR HELP! Please do not park on top of your meter vaults or lock your gates ( if your meter is inside your Fence). BOLETIN DE LA CIUDAD DE BREWSTER SEMANA DE LIMPIEZA 20 de ABRIL — 24 de Abril La semana de limpieza va a ser la ultima semana de Abril. La ciudad va a pasar por los callejones recogiendo los restos de ramas, hojas y pasto. Va a ver mas información disponible en el periódico y la radio. Las siguientes son reglas que debe seguir para la basura que se va a poner en el callejón: Restos del jardín solamente: Esto significa pasto, r amas, plantas secas, tablas que no sean gr andes (menos de 4 pies) sin clavos. Por favor no ponga nada en bolsas: las bolsas no van a ser r ecogidas. Es difícil par a la ciudad tener que abrir y revisar cada una de las bolsas. Por favor no ponga bolsas. No se permite poner piedras, pedazos de pasto con tierra, canos de plástico o metal, material del techo o construcción, muebles, chatarra, partes de autos, baterías, basura de todo tipo y productos líquidos. También no se permite animales muertos, asfalto, productos de goma y plásticos. Esto es para nuestra seguridad y la suya. Vamos a inspeccionar todos los montones para estar seguros de que no vaya nada de lo que no debe ir. Si se encuentra algo que no debe ir, su montón no va a ser recogido. Por favor no esconda nada en el montón. Cuando apile su montón de ramas póngalo lejos de las cercas, paredes y alambres. Vamos a recoger todo con una maquina. Necesitan poner todo lejos de los obstáculos y no bloquear el callejón. Esto facilita que sea mas fácil recogerlos con la maquina.
