KONTEC CAMPUS
Within the project KONTEC CAMPUS pre-selected students from university departmens related to the nuclear industry will have the possibility to attend the KONTEC
2015 thanks to the support from famous nuclear companies. Besides seeing the
plenary and poster presentations the students can take the opportunity to talk to
nuclear industry experts. During tours through the KONTEC 2015 Technical Exhibition
guides will show them the exhibitors’ delivery and performance scope and the exhibitors will have the chance to establish contact to the new nuclear generation.
KONTEC CAMPUS is supported by:

Hamburg, November 2014
Professor Dr.-Ing. habil. Dr.-Ing. E. h. Dr. h.c. Friedrich-Wilhelm Bach passed away after severe
illness on August 18th, 2014. He was an outstanding personality and a very pleasant colleague,
who always acted exemplary and responsibly. The business community lost a special person,
whom we will remember for a long time.
Professor Bach was chairman of the program committee since Kontec GmbH’s founding in
1994. Under his leadership, a professional expertise board was established, which since 20 years
creates the KONTEC event series with current topics of the conditioning of radioactive operational
and decommissioning wastes.
With this main focus, fundamentally shaped by Professor Bach, the KONTEC event series established internationally as a unique expert conference in its special composition in our field.
Shortly before his death, Professor Bach committed the program committee in his own special
manner to continue the KONTEC event series in his spirit.
We will greatly miss Professor Bach as a person and as a friend.
