Die vielseitige Sängerin, deren Repertoire von Klassik bis zu zeitgenössischer Musik reicht, ist auf allen großen Bühnen in Europa und
den USA zu hören. An der Wiener Staatsoper debütierte Marlis
Petersen mit Bergs “Lulu” – eine Partie, die sie u.a. auch in
Hamburg, Chicago und an der New Yorker Met sang. Im Mai 2015
wird sie in der Titelpartie der Lulu wiederum in München und im
Herbst 2015 an der Met zu hören sein. Sie verkörperte u.a. Zerbinetta (R. Strauss: Ariadne auf Naxos) an der Royal Opera Covent
Garden, Zdenka (Arabella) bei den Münchner Opernfestspielen,
Nachtigall (Braunfels: Die Vögel) in Genf, Adele (J. Strauss: Die
Fledermaus) in Paris, Chicago und an der MET, Elisa (Mozart: Il re
Pastore) und Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) bei den Salzburger Festspielen und an der MET, sowie Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem
Serail) und Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) in Aix-en-Provence. Sie
wirkte in den Uraufführungen von Henzes Phaedra in Berlin,
Trojahns „La grande magia“ in Dresden und Reimanns „Medea“ an
der Wiener Staatsoper mit. Im Theater an der Wien gestaltete sie
alle Frauenfiguren in Offenbachs „Les contes d’Hoffmann“, und
feierte Erfolge als Elettra in Mozarts „Idomeneo“ und in Verdis „La
Traviata“. Im Konzertbereich tritt sie u.a. mit AKAMUS Berlin, den
Wiener Philharmonikern, dem Concertgebouw Orkest und der
Staatskapelle Dresden auf. Ihre Solo-Liedplatte mit Goethe Liedern,
die sich auf das „ewig Weibliche“ beziehen, wurde von Publikum
und Presse hochgelobt.
The versatile artist, whose repertoire spans a period from baroque to
contemporary music, is at home at the foremost opera houses and
concert halls of Europe and the US. Following her Vienna State Opera
debut in Berg’s LULU, she reprised the challenging title role in Hamburg,
Chicago and at the Met and will follow it with productions in Munich and
at the Met in fall 2015. She appears as Zerbinetta (R. Strauss: Ariadne

She took part in the world premieres of Henze’s Phaedra in Berlin, Trojahn’s „La grande magia“ in Dresden and Reimann’s „Medea“ at the
Vienna State Opera. Next door, at the Theater an der Wien, she
portrayed all four female heroines in Offenbach’s „Les contes d’ Hoffmann“, and won high praise for Elettra in Mozart’s „Idomeneo“ and for
Verdi’s „La Traviata“. On the concert podium she appears with AKAMUS
Berlin, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Concertgebouw Orkest and Staatskapelle Dresden. Her solo-recital album with songs after lyrics by Goethe,
paying homage to the eternal female, won unanimous acclaim from
audiences and critics alike.

Das Joseph Haydn Konservatorium in Eisenstadt (JHK) veranstaltet
gemeinsam mit der Esterházy Privatstiftung einen Meisterkurs mit der
Sopranistin MARLIS PETERSEN in der Zeit vom 28.-30.08.2015 mit
Vokalmusik komponiert von J. Haydn, W. A. Mozart, L. v. Beethoven und
F. Schubert.
In co-operation with the Esterházy Privat-Foundation the Joseph Haydn
Conservatoire in Eisenstadt is organizing a master class with the soprano
MARLIS PETERSEN in the period August 28th to 30th, 2015, with vocal
music composed by J. Haydn, W. A. Mozart, L. v. Beethoven und F. Schubert.
Die Teilnahme ist aktiv oder passiv möglich. Die Anzahl der aktiven
TeilnehmerInnen ist begrenzt. InteressentInnen für die aktive Teilnahme
bewerben sich durch Hochladen eines Liedes und einer Arie auf ihr eigenes Dropboxkonto und Freigabe des Links für: [email protected]

Im Kursbeitrag inkludiert ist der Unterricht vom 29.-30.08.2015, sowie
eine Karte für das Konzert „Arien von Mozart und Haydn“ von Frau
Petersen am 28.08.2015 im Haydnsaal des Schlosses Esterházy Eisenstadt.
Die Kosten für Unterkunft und Verpflegung während des Kurses sind
nicht in der Kursgebühr inkludiert. Kostengünstige Quartiere sind unter
www.eisenstadt-tourismus..at zu erfragen. Die Kursorganisation ist bei
der Vermittlung von kostengünstigen Quartieren gerne behilflich.
Programm:
28.08.2015: Eintreffen der TeilnehmerInnen, Übemöglichkeiten im
JHK. Am Abend gemeinsamer Besuch des Konzertes im Schloss
Esterhazy.
29.08.2015: Unterricht im Konzertsaal des JHK nach Absprache.
Übemöglichkeiten in den Klassen des JHK.
30.08.2015: Fortsetzung des Unterrichts, Abschlussveranstaltung um
18:00 Uhr im Empiresaal des Schlosses Esterhazy.




Die Anmeldung erfolgt bis 30. April 2015 durch elektronische
oder postalische Übermittlung des Anmeldeformulars.
Aktive TeilnehmerInnen laden gleichzeitig ihr Kurzprogramm auf
ihre Dropbox und geben die Datei frei.
Bestätigung der aktiven Teilnahme bis 20. Juni 2015 durch das

Included in the participation fee are the classes from August 29th to
