WELTGRÖSSTEN 360°PANORAMEN
Exkursionen oder Zeitreisen in ferne Länder – im Industriedenkmal in Leipzig
Seit 2003 realisiert der Künstler Yadegar Asisi in Leipzig die weltgrößten 360°-Panoramen mit einer Höhe
von bis zu 32 Metern und einem Umfang von bis zu 110 Metern. Was in Leipzig begann, hat sich seitdem
zu einer Renaissance der Kunstform aus dem 19. Jahrhundert mit weit über fünf Millionen Besuchern an
den Standorten Leipzig, Dresden, Berlin, Pforzheim und Rouen entwickelt.
GREAT BARRIER REEF
(ab 3. Oktober 2015)
Aktuell entsteht das 360°-Panorama des berühmten Korallenriffs vor Australien. Es führt auf einen
Panorama-Tauchgang in die einzigartige Unterwasserwelt in all ihrer fragilen Schönheit und Komplexität.
Der Blickpunkt des Betrachters befindet sich unter Wasser. In einem Farbrausch aus allen Blau-, Azurund Grünschattierungen spielt die faszinierende Brechung des Sonnenlichts im Wasser eine tragende
Rolle und taucht die submarine Zauberwelt der Korallen und Meerestiere in leuchtende Gelb-, Rot- und
Pinkschattierungen. Das Panorama schafft einen idealisierten Raum, der in der Natur so in Gänze und zur
selben Zeit nicht zu erkennen wäre.
Die Farbenpracht und der Detailreichtum des Panoramas verweist auch auf die Einmaligkeit der
Schöpfung und sensibilisiert zugleich für ihren Erhalt.
TITANIC
(ab 1. Oktober 2016)
Mit dem 360°-Panorama TITANIC zeigt Asisi nicht das eigentliche Schiffsunglück aus dem Jahr 1912,
sondern er thematisiert den Untergang des Luxusliners als Musterbeispiel für das Streben des Menschen,
der seit Menschengedenken die Gesetze der Schöpfung überflügeln will und sich und sein Schaffen
darüber stellt.
Der Betrachterstandpunkt befindet sich etwa 3.800 Meter unter Wasser in Höhe des Schiffswracks. Ein
künstliches Lichtszenario ermöglicht dem Besucher, das tragische Ausmaß des Unglücks in einem
Riesenrundbild – und nicht in Ausschnitten – zu entdecken. Zu erkennen sind das in zwei Teile
auseinandergebrochene Wrack sowie ringsherum eine unüberschaubare Menge an Mobiliar,
Einrichtungsgegenständen, technischem Equipment und Gepäckstücken.
Mit dem Panorama verschafft Asisi eine Faszination für die grandiose Ingenieursleistung des britischen
Luxusliners, allerdings korrodieren nun Tausende Tonnen von Stahl und die ehemals prunkvolle
Einrichtung und die Technik des etwa 40.000 Tonnen schweren Luxusliners sind ein einziges
Trümmerfeld, das nach und nach von der Natur zurückerobert wird.

360° PANORAMAS IN THE WORLD
Excursions or journeys through time to faraway countries - in the industrial
monument in Leipzig
Since 2003, Yadegar Asisi has been creating the largest 360° Panoramas in the world in Leipzig – up to 32
metres high with a circumference of up to 110 metres. What began in Leipzig has since blossomed into a
renaissance of this 19th century art form with well over five million visitors to the Panorama locations in
Leipzig, Dresden, Berlin, Pforzheim and Rouen.
GREAT BARRIER REEF

The construction of this 360° Panorama depicting the famous coral reef off the coast of Australia is
currently in progress. The Panorama will immerse you in the unique underwater world with all its fragile
beauty and complexity. The observer has an underwater view. The fascinating refraction of sunlight in the
water plays a predominant role in a dazzling display of colours encompassing the myriad shades of blue,
azure and green, and immerses the magical submarine world of corals and marine creatures in bright
contrasting tones of yellow, red and pink. The Panorama creates an idealised space that in nature would
rarely be recognised in its entirety at the same time.
The blaze of colour and richness of detail of the Panorama also emphasises the uniqueness of creation
while simultaneously creating an awareness for its preservation.
TITANIC
(from 1st October 2016)
The 360° TITANIC Panorama focuses not on the maritime disaster in 1912 itself, but rather takes as its
central theme the sinking of the luxury liner as a model example for the striving of man, who since time
immemorial has ignored the laws of creation and placed himself and his creative efforts above them.
Here the viewpoint of the observer is set some 3,800 metres below the surface of the water at the level of
the shipwreck. An artificial lighting scenario allows the visitor to discover the tragic proportions of this
disaster in a Panorama – not merely in fragments. Recognisable are both the wreck itself, broken into two
pieces, and the vast amount of furniture, furnishings, technical equipment and pieces of luggage
surrounding it.
With this Panorama, Asisi has created a fascination for the superb engineering feat of the British luxury
liner – although its thousands of tons of steel are now corroding, while the once opulent furnishings and
the sophisticated technology of the 40,000 ton luxury line are nothing more than an expanse of rubble,
which nature has gradually reclaimed to herself.
