Position: Systems Coordinator Reports to: Jon Sole (Manufacturing Director) Location: TJ International, Padstow This Position Profile consists of two sections: 1. Job Specification – Systems Coordinator Specific Responsibilities, including (but not limited to) Ensuring continued development and implementation of the companies Environmental, Quality and Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 14001/ISO 9001/OHSAS 18001). Making recommendations for and Ensuring continued compliance with company Environmental, Quality and Health and Safety policies and procedures Internal reporting of Environmental, Quality and Health and Safety issues and initiatives. Keeping up to date with and ensuring the company is in compliance with all Environmental and Health and Safety legislation relevant to the business. Setting and implementing annual objectives and targets for Environment, Quality and Health and Safety. Ensuring continued development of the companies Environmental Aspects Register. Collating, monitoring and reporting monthly to Management on service performance and product conformity data. Collating, monitoring and reporting quarterly on Environmental and Health and Safety performance data. Ensuring compliance with the company Climate Change Agreement by collating, monitoring and reporting the required data. Carrying out Risk Assessments and ensuring relevant Safe Systems of Work are implemented. Maintaining continued compliance with company FSC procedures. Collating, monitoring and reporting to external auditors required data on FSC papers. Preparation and implementation of audit programmes for ISO 14001/ISO 9001/OHSAS 18001. Addressing non-conformances and actions raised from internal and external Management System audits. Organising and chairing quarterly Environment Committee meetings. Liaising with waste companies and managing all waste streams. Ordering Personal Protective Equipment for staff when required. Attending and representing the company at relevant Environmental/Health and Safety events Perform all other functions, duties and training as required or requested by the Management of the company. Comply with all TJ Internationals policies, including Health & Safety policy, Quality systems, Personnel, Smoking, Mobile Phone and dignity at work. Managerial or Leadership responsibilities The role holds no responsibility for coordinating the efforts and results of others except for those who are new to the business and are assigned to the jobholder for basic training. Person Specification This section sets out the experience and behaviours required for the successful delivery of the position. Experience specification • Good level of education including Maths and English. Degree within an environmental related subject IT literacy is essential. Knowledge of local and global environmental / sustainability issues Ability to liaise with customers in a professional manner via email, phone or face to face. Good work organisation skills, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to effectively give information clearly to customers, clients, and other employees of the organisation.
