Lead Civil Designer (m/f) - kazakistan
TASKS

















Capacity of carrying out Civil/Structural detailed designs and working efficiently within
a multi-disciplined Project team for onshore Oil & Gas Projects.
Preparation of Structural Steelwork & Reinforced concrete detailed drawings. Roads &
drainage an advantage.
Possess a Knowledge of building codes (BS, Euro, SNIPS, GOST, international).
Provide input and support for project cost estimates.
Ensuring the quality and technical accuracy of drawings produced is acceptable for the
purpose intended
Ensuring all deliverables produced comply with all relevant project specifications, and RoK
requirements.
Ensuring all deliverables meet Client contract procedures, particularly related to safety and
quality control.
Highlighting to the Lead Engineer all ambiguities discovered in data received in the
execution of normal duties.
Undertake the preparation of standard detail drawings, including conceptual arrangements
for FEED.
Undertake the preparation of good quality general arrangement & detail drawings using 2D
AutoCAD for FEED and detail design stages of projects.
Checking of drawings produced by others in accordance with in-house procedures.
Production of Material Take Off's for all aspects of the design.
Approval of vendor drawings.
Assist in the undertaking of site dimensional surveys as necessary.
Ensure all duties are carried out and maintained with the minimum of supervision
Contribute to the development and mentoring of local engineers in the department .
Must possess good communication and coordination skills.
REQUIREMENTS





Min requirements HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil/Structural engineering.
Strong personality and a good communicator, able to function as an essential member of a
small team.
Should have design experience in Industrial facilities, preferably in Oil & Gas projects.
Including Piperacks, Pipe supports, Vessel supports, Access platforms, Shallow and deep
foundations.
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Xref facility. 3D design experience an advantage.


Good experience of detailing Steelwork & Reinforced concrete. Drainage and ground works
experience an advantage.
Capability to perform simple calculations of foundations/steelwork connections, also an
advantage.
