Gr. 'B' on regular basis against reserved quota vacancies in the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay
4800/- (revised as per Sixth Pay Commission) plus usual allowances, with immediate effect until further
orders.

The above ST category officers have been empanelled in the Select List of the DPC held on
27.02.2014, by virtue of O.M.dt.15/3/2002 read with Ministry's letter F.No.C.30013/92/2006-Ad-IVA
dt.18.04.2007.
No pay fixation benefits shall accrue to the aforementioned officers if he has already been
granted financial benefits under the ACP/MACP scheme to the pay scale of Superintendent Central
Excise Gr. 'B'.
The seniority of the officers will be fixed as per the select list of DPC dated 27.02.2014 for the
vacancy year 2014-15, in the combined seniority list of Superintendents working in Central Excise,
Mumbai Zone-I/II, Pune Zone, Nasik and Aurangabad Commissionerates of Nagpur Zone and Service Tax,
Mumbai-I/II.
The seniority of the officers will be Provisional subject to the outcome of the decision in Writ
Petition No. W.P.(Civil) No. 153/2003 filed in Hon'ble Supreme Court.
The promotions of the Inspector/ad-hoc Superintendents of Central Excise to the grade of
Superintendents Central Excise, Gr.'B' are subject to the outcome of various SLP's pending in the
Hon'ble Supreme Court on the issue of seniority in the grade of Inspectors and any other orders of the
Hon'ble CAT, Mumbai Bench on the said issue.
The above promotions are subject to the outcome of the WPCT No. 261/2008 (ShriSamiran Roy
&ors. vise Union of India) filed in the Hon'ble Calcutta High Court and final outcome of implementation
of DOPT's O.M. dated 10.8.2010 under No. 36012/45/2005-Estt(Res.).
The officers will be on probation for a period of two years in terms of Ministry's circular No.
91/88 dated 25/04/1988 issued under F.No. 12/91/88-Coord.
Caste certificate verification has been initiated in respect of officers belonging to SC/ST category
by their parent Commissionerate. The concerned Commissionerate is required to inform the outcome of
the verification to the Commissionerate where the SC/ST officer is being posted on promotion, for
further action in the matter
The posting of the above officer shall be subject to Para 7.4, 7.5, 7.6, 7.7, 7.8 of the Transfer
/Placement Policy Guidelines for Group'B' Gazetted and Non Gazetted Executive officers in the Mumbai
Central Excise Cadre.
The above officer should join on promotion in his new place of posting/Zone latest by
10.06.2014, positively. If they fail to join by 10.06.2014, it will be deemed as their refusal and the
promotion order will be cancelled without any further intimation.

The release and joining report should be sent to the undersigned and all concerned.
