Madam/Sir, Sub: Preparation of panel for appointment of Intelligence Officer & Senior Intelligence Officer in the DGCEI, Indore Regional Unit -forwarding of names of willing officers of Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax-Reg. Few posts of Senior Intelligence Officer & Intelligence Officer are vacant at Indore Regional Unit of DGCEI, which will be filled up by appointment on deputation basis from the officers of equivalent grades of Central Excise, Customs & Service Tax. Officers, who have been granted financial up-gradation under ACP Scheme, are also eligible for the said posts. 2. The selected officers, while working in the Directorate in the grade of Sr.Intelligence Officer & Intelligence Officer, will be entitled for deputation allowance as admissible. Normally the deputation is for a period of five years, which is extendable by another two years, subject to willingness of the officer, his/her performance, concurrence of his parent Commissionerate and approval of Competent Authority. 3. It is requested that the circular may please be brought to the notice of all the formations under your jurisdiction and the application of willing officers be forwarded to this office. While forwarding the names of the willing officer, the following information in respect of them may also be sent for evaluation by this Directorate. (i) Complete bio-data and willingness of the officer alongwith history of posting of previous postings; (ii) APAR (ACR) Grading for the last 5 years including 2013-14 (duly verified by Addl./Joint Commissioner(P&V); (iii) Vigilance clearance; and (iv) No Objection from Cadre Controlling Authority to relieve the officer in the event of his selection. 4.
