In pursuance of this office offer of appointment letters issued under F.No.11/3A-8/2013
Al(3)E, the following candidates recommended by the Staff Selection Commission, Mumbai on
the basis of the results of the Combined Graduate Level (Main) Examination, 2012 are
temporarily appointed as Inspector of Central Excise in the Pay Band Rs.9300-34800 + Grade
Pay Rs.4600 as per the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission (plus the usual
allowances admissible) and posted to the Zone / Commissionerate shown against their names,
with immediate effect and until further orders. They have joined their duties on the dates
shown against their names. They are entitled for pay and allowances with effect from their
date of joining as Inspector.

They will be on probation for two years from the date of joining. Their seniority will be
fixed on the basis of their ranks in the examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission
and not on the basis of their joining dates. The candidates nominated from the Reserved List, if
any, of particular examination will be en-block junior to those nominated from the main list of
the examination.
Their appointment is provisional and is subject to the Caste / Tribe / OBC certificates
being verified through the proper channels and if the verification reveals that the claim of
belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Class, as the case may be,
is false, their services will be terminated forthwith without assigning any further reasons and
without prejudice to such further action as may be taken under the provisions of the Indian
Penal Code for production of false certificates.
All new entrants, who have joined the Central Government Service on or after
01.01.2004 will be governed by the Contributory Pension System introduced vide Ministry's
letter F.No.12/104/2003-Coord (Circular No. 72/2003) dated 22.12.2003.
The pay of the above said candidates may be drawn from the date of joining mentioned
above, as no pay has been drawn from this Commissionerate.

This order issues with the approval of Chief Commissioner, Central Excise, Mumbai
Zone-I.

All the officers are hereby relieved in the afternoon of 09/05/2014 to join their
respective postings.
The joining reports should be sent to the undersigned and all concerned without fail.
