2015 Vancouver Swim Club, VSC Winter Invitational A/B/C SR/AG January 23rd, 24th, 25th, 2015 HELD UNDER THE SANCTION OF USA SWIMMING Sanction No. 15-002 (10 & Under/Open) 15-003 (11 to 14) Host/Sponsor: Vancouver Swim Club Location: George C Marshall Community Center 1009 E McLoughlin Blvd Vancouver, WA 98663 Eligibility: Swimmers must be currently registered with USA Swimming. NO ON DECK REGISTRATION SHALL BE PERMITTED. Swimmers must be within the listed age brackets as of (the first day of the meet) [and must meet the time standards listed for each event they enter, if applicable]. Also any other meet eligibility statements necessary. i.e. if invitational, only swimmers of invited teams are eligible. Entry Deadline: Entries must be received by 5:00 pm, Friday, January 2nd, 2015. Payment must accompany entries. Hy-tek Meet Management Software will be used. Entries can not be submitted using Team Unify. Emailed entries will be accepted; hard copy printouts of entries and payments are still due by the entry deadline. Late entries will be accepted only at the referee’s discretion on a lane available basis. Entry Limit: Swimmers may enter up to 2 events on Friday and 3 individual events on Saturday and Sunday. Limited to the first 185 swimmers for the Friday session. Limited to the first 250 swimmers Saturday and Sunday morning and afternoon sessions. Swimmers attending individually (i.e. not with a team) will be seeded on a ‘as space available’ basis at the referee’s discretion. Swimmers or teams who will not be accompanied by a certified coach, much check in with the meet referee prior to warm-ups. No Coach Present For unattached swimmers, or swimmers who coach in not attending the meet, it is the swimmers responsibility to arrange for a certified coach to be responsible for the swimmer. This must be done BEFORE the swimmer may enter the water for warm-ups or competition. Please see Meet Director for the Meet Referee if assistance in needed, upon arrival at the meet. Entry Fees: $9.00 Surcharge per swimmer ($3.00 OSI and $6.00 Facility) $3.00 individual event fee Entry fees must accompany master entry form. Submit YARD TIMES only for seeding. 2. Submit entries via email in Hy-tek meet management software format. (Email below.) Please include printout of Hy-tek entries. A Hy-tek Tem Manager Software formatted field is provided with this sheet/file to be imported into Team Manager for each of completing entries. Entries can not be submitted using Team Unify. 3. Complete the enclosed master entry forms using yard times for each event. 4. With submission of entries, the coach/team representative attests that all swimmers entered are registered with USA Swimming. 5. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing racing starts or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Seeding: Pre-seeding will be used for all event except Fridays 400 & 1650. Those events will be deck seeded and combined boys and girls. All events Friday will be swum fast to slow. Saturday and Sunday events will be swum slow to fast. Awards: Individual: 1st to 10th ribbons Heat Winners will be recognized. Scoring will be done in accordance with USA Swimming guidelines. Events will be scored 8 & U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15 & O Facility: Indoor, 25 yards, 6 lanes with three-inch non-turbulent lane lines. Depth is 3 1/2 feet to 5 feet. Starting blocks at the deep end of the pool only. Shallow end is 3'6". The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2(c)4. Parking available, seating for 300 spectators. Snack bar will be open throughout the meet. Swim venue includes: Men's and Women's locker rooms with access onto the pool deck; Open pool deck areas available for swimmers, coaches and officials only. Facility is accessible to adaptive swimmers. Concessions: Full concessions available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Restrictions: TOBACCO PRODUCTS OF ANY KIND, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES and GLASS CONTAINERS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE SWIMMING VENUE. NO SHAVING. USE OF AUDIO OR VISUAL RECORDING DEVICES, INCLUDING A CELL PHONE, IS NOT PERMITTED IN CHANGING AREAS, REST ROOMS OR LOCKER ROOMS. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited. Schedule: Friday, Jan 23rd Sat.
