New Year - Fresh Start
It’s the end of the semester! The
students have worked hard for the last
several months and we are so proud of each
and every one of them.
As we come back from our holiday break,
we are pleased to announce that we are
holding our annual WORST PARTY EVER!
This year’s theme is a White Elephant gift
exchange.
Every year we receive presents from our
beloved friends and family. While each and
every gift is a precious reminder of that
person and although we truly do appreciate
the thought…… Sometimes, the gift can
secretly make us cringe. So save your worst
Christmas present, and bring it to the party!
If you don’t have a worst gift to bring, dig
in your closet for that ugly Christmas sweater
or useless As Seen on TV gadget and bring
it to the party!
There’s talk of movies, games, food,
drink and maybe even a prize for Worst
Present!
Let’s start off the New Year with laughter,
tears (of joy) and fun!
See you all in the New Year!

SV Flex PTO MISSION
We support the Students & The Staff!
The SV Flex Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an organization whose purpose is to strengthen, enhance and encourage the educational and social environment of Silicon Valley Flex Academy. Its goals are to complement the school curriculum with additional opportunities for parents, teachers and students to learn, socialize, communicate and grow. It serves as a liaison between teachers and parents with one common goal in mind: to provide our students with the best educational experience possible. We strive to work effectively with the administrators of SV Flex to ensure quality education; and promote the welfare of children in home, school and community. What does this mean for your family? It means that we, as an organization, are continually looking for ways to enhance your family’s experience at SV Flex. It also means that the administrators of the school know that they have somewhere to turn when they need a job done. The key to keeping the PTO a successful organization is the involvement of the entire school community. Your time and energy are the only limitations to the extent that you would like to be involved. We are always looking for volunteers and any help is always
welcome and greatly appreciated. We have many openings
for traffic control shifts. The PTO needs help throughout the
year with our sponsored family gatherings & community
events. The teachers at SV Flex welcome help from parents
with supervision in the learning labs.

Giving Tree Update
Our giving tree this year was a resounding success! We and the Family can’t thank you
enough for your generosity! We are truly humbled by the kindness and thoughfullness of
our SV Flex families. You made this family’s Christmas a very special one.
We also want to thank everyone who donated to the toy drive. These toys were
delivered to the Loving and Learning Center in Morgan Hill and will be distributed
amongst the children at the center. You helped put smiles on many, many children’s
faces.
Merry Christmas!

Silicon Valley Flex Sports News
Yesterday was our last game and right after that the end of season party at Mountain Mikes in Morgan Hill. The boys played pogo, ate pizza, and received their awards and trophies. Looking back, it's been a very successful season. The kids learned so much. Even though most of them hadn't played before, by the end of the season, they learned the rules of soccer, their positions and play together as a team. They showed up for every game, every practice rain or shine. They even played in the mud. They’ve had a lot of fun and made really good friends. Thanks all the people who helped. We had a blast. We look forward to seeing you again next year. Coach Janssen and Coach Gitchev.
