MTG PTO On-Going Fundraisers At-A-Glance Market Day– Is a fundraising food cooperative, providing opportunities to raise money for schools by selling food products. Each month you will receive a Market day order form. You may return this form with your order to school, or order at www.marketday.com. Up to 15% of all purchases are given back to our MTG PTO. All Proceeds from the October pie fundraiser will support the 7th& 8th graders for their class trips and graduation expenses. Family & Friends–This year, the PTO is offering several opportunities to help raise funds for our school just by dining out! Jansons, Culvers, Las Fuentes, Beggars, Bourbon Street, Barracos and Dunkin Donuts on 108th& Cicero have all agreed to participate in our Family & Friends program. Each restaurant will donate a percentage of their profits on designated dates back to our school. Please look for flyers throughout the year. DUNKIN DONUTS located at 10801 S. Cicero will donate 20% of purchases EVERY TIME you eat at their restaurant throughout the year!!! Just tell them you are with Mt. Greenwood School. Hot Food– parents may pre-purchase lunch several times throughout the year as a special treat for our children. Select vendors include Home Run Inn Pizza, Culvers, Pops Italian Beef, Chic-Fil-A. Food-4-Less – When you link your card to the MTG PTO through the Food-4-Less Community Rewards Program a percentage of your food and fuel purchases will be donated back to the school. Contact the PTO for more information. Target Red Card -When you link your Target credit or debit card to the MTG PTO through a percentage of your purchases will be donated back to the school. Mt. Greenwood Embroidery– Located at 3136 W. 111th Street. The PTO receives 20% of all gym wear, spirit wear and fleece jacket and sweatshirt orders. You can find pricing and order forms on the MTG School website, or simply mention you are with MTG School when making your purchase. Baron’s Shoes -Located at 3101 W. 111th Street. The PTO receives 10% of all shoe purchases. You can find order forms on the MTG School website, or simply mention you are with MTG School when making your purchase. Manna – Purchase gift cards monthly through the PTO and pick them up on Market Day pickup days. The PTO will earn a profit from every gift card purchased, which will help fund our end-of-year picnic! Box Tops & Pop Tabs – Send in your Box Tops for Education to help support our school and your Pop Tabs to support our local Ronald McDonald House MTG PTO 2014-15 Events Ice Cream Social – Wednesday August 27th, 2014 5:00 – 6:00pm outside in front of the school auditorium. Grab a sundae and mingle with other MTG families before meeting your childrens’ teachers at our school Open House. Parents Back-to-School with a Bears Game – Sunday October 5th, 2014, 12:00-4:00 Gilhooley’s Grande Saloon 103rd& Pulaski. Help us raise money to purchase new iPads and keyboards to add to the 600 previously funded by the PTO. $25 ticket price includes beer, wine and half-time buffet. We have 100 $20 squares available now and will have raffle prizes, strip cards and split-the-pot available at the event. Help us kick-off the new school year and raise funds for new technology for our kids!!! Secret Santa Ornament Sale - December 15-19, 2014. Students will have an opportunity to buy and/or make ornaments to give as gifts during the holiday season. Look for more information in November! Winter Break Ice Skating Party -Tuesday December 30th, 2014 10:00am – 2:00pm, Oak Lawn Ice Arena located at 9320 S. Kenton Ave. Father-Daughter Dance– Back by popular demand! Saturday February 7th, 2015, 1:00pm5:00pm Alsip Double Tree. The afternoon includes dinner, soft drinks and dancing. A dressup photo booth and formal photographer will be available for a small fee. Craft& Vendor Fair– Friday March 27th 2015 6:00 - 9:00pm MTG School. Support our school while purchasing gifts for Mother’s Day, Easter, Graduations or a little something for yourself! Last year we had over 50 vendors and hope to have even more this year! Food, soft drinks and raffles will also be available. Mother-Son Sports Night – Friday April 17th, 2015 6:00 – 10:00pm Chicago Agricultural High School. Moms, challenge your boys to a game of basketball, volleyball or floor hockey, try a little karaoke, or take some silly pictures in the dress-up photo booth! Tickets include snacks, soft drinks, pizza and all games and activities! Walk-A-Thon– Friday June 5th, 2015. Last year we raised over $13,000 towards the purchase of technology for our classrooms. We’d like to make this year even bigger! Each participant must pledge a minimum of $10 to walk. Incentives and prizes will be awarded to the 4 top earning students in the school and one classroom in each grade level! End-of-Year Picnic – Our year-end celebration gets bigger and better every year with carnival games, relay races, live entertainment, food drink and snacks!
