Official Promotional Rules for
The FOX29 and CW Christmas Giveaway with Buzzmark
A complete copy of these rules can be obtained at the offices of KVHP FOX29, National Communications,
Inc., 129 W. Prien Lake Rd., Lake Charles, LA 70601, during normal business hours Monday through Friday
or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.
1. No purchase is necessary. Participants can play up to 10 times a day.
2. Must be 18 years of age or older to win.
3. Winner must reside in the greater Lake Charles area (DMA).
4. All contestants must download the FREE Buzzmark App by texting the word “Buzzmark” to the number
313131 and following the link or by downloading Buzzmark from the Google Play or Apple store.
5. All contests are open to the general public except for employees, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates of
KVHP FOX29, participating sponsors, their immediate families, and household members.
6. An individual may win this contest multiple times.

7. The contest will begin on Saturday December 19 and will run through December 24
th
until 5pm CST.
8. Participants will open the Buzzmark app on their phones or mobile devices and will play a game for a
chance to win a daily prize or a consolation prize of discounted service. The daily prizes available are:

9. Instant winner(s) must claim the prize within the app no later than 24 hours of winning. If the prize is not
claimed within this time, the prize will be forfeited and another winner will be chosen.
10. Once the prize has been claimed on the contestant’s mobile device, the contestant must bring the
electronic confirmation/ Gift Card code to that store/business within 30 days. Some prizes can be picked
up at the FOX29 CW station. The winner of said prize will receive an e-mail with instructions to claim
said prize after clicking “Claim” within the mobile app.
11. If the winner(s) fails to claim prize within 30 days, the prize will revert back to the station and will be
disposed at the stations discretion.

12. All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for
prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize / prizes valued
at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their winnings.
13. All prizes are awarded “as is.” Gifts are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged.
14. The station shall not be responsible for the failure of participating sponsors to deliver prizes as
promised.
15. All entrants and winners agree that the station, KVHP FOX29, CW, BUZZMARK and their sponsors,
their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities shall have no liability and shall be held blameless
for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property insured by entering, participating in,
winning, or losing any contest by use or non-use of any prize received.
16. If requested, proper identification must be presented to claim prize. If requested, winners must fill out a
Winner’s Affidavit and Release.
17. All entry blanks, forms, devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within,
gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of the station and Buzzmark to be
used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion of the station.
18. All entrants and winners agree that the station may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence,
photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason the
station deems necessary without compensation. All entrants further agree to hold the station blameless
and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use.
19. The station reserves the right to end the contest at any time without any advanced notice to the public.
20. The station reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter a contest or drawing.
21. The station reserves the right to require contestants to be present at drawings in order to win their prize.
22. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be
grounds for the station to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests
and events at the sole discretion of the station, as well as forfeiture of any prize or prizes won by
fraudulent means.
