V. Troisdorf International Piano Competition 2016
AGE CATEGORIES
Category A “Premiere” Competitors up to 13 years.
Category B “Junge Talente” Competitors up to 17 years.
Category C “Junge Meister” Competitors up to 35 years.
REPERTOIRE
REPERTOIRE CATEGORY A “Premiere” :
The Competition for Category A will take place in one round. The total playing time
must amount to at least 5 minutes but must not exceed 10 minutes.
• The Program chosen by the candidate.
REPERTOIRE CATEGORY B „Junge Talente“ :
The Competition for Category B will take place in one round. The total playing time
must
amount to at least 15 minutes but must not exceed 20 minutes.
• One virtuoso Etude by Chopin, Liszt, Debussy, Rachmaninow, Scriabin,
Strawinsky.
• One or more pieces chosen by the candidate.
REPERTOIRE CATEGORY C „Junge Meister“ :
The Competition for Category C will take place in two rounds.
First Round: 15 minutes.
• One virtuoso etude by Chopin.
• One virtuoso etude by Liszt, Debussy, Rachmaninov, Strawinsky, Scriabin, Ligeti.
• One piece chosen by the candidate.
Final Round: 45-50 minutes.
• The first movement of a sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Clementi, Beethoven.
• One or more pieces chosen by the candidate.
PRIZES
Category C „Junge Meister“:
1st Prize : € 3000 | 2nd Prize: € 500 | 3rd Prize: € 300
And “Laureate Award“ Diplom
For the 4th Prize, 5th Prize and 6th Prize winner.
Category B „Junge Talente“:
1st Prize: € 500 | 2nd Prize: € 200 | 3rd Prize: € 200
Category A “Premiere”:
1st Prize: €200 | 2nd Prize: Diploma | 3rd Prize: Diploma

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
• The competition is open to pianists of all nationality until 35 years old.
• All music must be performed from memory.
• All stages of the competition are open to the public.
• When a price has not been given the prize money will not distributed to the other prices.
• The copyright for all audio, video and photos during the competition belongs to the
competition organizer.
• All finalists must be present at the prize winners' concert on August 07, 2016. An
unexcused absence from this concert equivalent to give up the prize money. The
performers take place at the winners' concert without a fee.
• Changes of the date of the competition because of objective reasons belongs to the
organizer.
• By sending the registration document you agree to the rules of the competition.
• Decisions taken by the Board of Examiners may not be appealed.
• In the case of translation-related disagreements the German text of these regulations is
essential.
• There is no right of appeal.
JURY
International well known Professor and Pianists.
Practice Facilities:
Practice facilities (rooms with piano and grand piano) will be arranged for all the
candidates
free of charge.
