Austin (January 2012 - Present).
Research Assistant, CCEE, NCSU (2008 - 2012).Development and evaluation of methodology
for seamless integration of weather and climate information in improving 15-day ahead
precipitation and streamflow forecasts over the continental U.S.; proposal of probabilistic
reservoir management approach for meeting ecological releases and hydropower generation
utilizing monthly streamflow forecasts; analysis of hydroclimatic variability and covariability in
precipitation, streamflow, temperature, and tree-ring data over the southeastern U.S. using
singular spectrum analyses and idenfication of process and basin controls that modulate
precipitation and streamflow variability; tailoring of a monthly to daily precipitation disaggregation
algorithm for implementation swith different general circulation models (GCM's) and IPCC
scenarios.
Research Assistant, University of South Carolina (2007 - 2008).Implementation of Bayesian
Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm for contaminant source characterization in water
distribution systems under stochastic water demands; proposal of adaptive water quality
sampling method for detecting contaminant source in urban water distribution systems;
investigation of coupled Markov Chain Monte Carlo-Support Vector Regression (MCMC-SVR)
method to identify contaminant sources in water distribution systems.
