Research Experience
2010 - Present
Parallel Architecture & System Laboratory
Research Assistant
(1) Work with LLNL and Intel to exploit Analytics Shipping with Big Data framework on
HPC Backend Storage Servers. (Using Yarn Mapreduce and Lustre as the case study)
(2) Further optimize Yarn Mapreduce I/O performance over Lustre filesystem.
(3) Design and implement JVM-Bypass Shuffling (JBS) for Hadoop data shuffling, which
can avoid Java-based transport protocol, remove the overhead and limitations of the
JVM.
