ABOUT THE PLANTS Blueberry (1 gallon): The average family needs 4 to 6 bushes and at least two varieties for cross-pollination. You can purchase an early and mid-season or mid-season and late. Two plants need to be in bloom close to the same time for pollination. Blueberries freeze well, too! New this year – Pink Lemonade Blueberry. It’s self-pollinating but will also help pollinate other plants. Berries are very tasty. Ripens in mid to late season. Blackberry/Raspberry (1 gallon): The average family needs 10 to15 plants. Yield can be up to 3 to 4 pints per plant. Blackberries will need a trellis to run on. We are offering an erect Raspberry (Caroline) and one that trails (Dorman Red). Apples (3 to 5 gallons): Apple trees are nice trees to add to your landscape. The varieties we offer are adapted to Georgia soil. They prefer a good sunny location that drains well. Ferns (1 gallon): Nice addition to any landscape. They are definitely shade plants. Figs (1 gallon): Figs are easy to grow and the rewards are great. One fig tree is sufficient per family. Native Azaleas (3 gallons): Native Azaleas are great for the edge of woods, in the landscape, and anywhere you need that extra punch of color. Frostproof Gardenias (1 gallon): Blooms into velvety white fragrant flowers in late spring and continues through summer. Grows 3 to 4 feet tall. Prefers full or partial sun. Viburnums (1 gallon): Very popular landscape shrubs and are admired for their outstanding fall foliage, fruit ,and flowers. Most blossom in spring, with fragrant flowers ranging from white and cream to pink. Many species bear ornamental fruits in late summer or fall in colors of red, yellow, black, or blue. Viburnums are easy to grow and favor sun to partial shade. Heucheras (Coral Bells) (1 gallon): Heucheras are very hardy plants and are known for their outstanding color and flower spikes. They love the morning sun and afternoon shade. Fertilize as needed for beautiful plants that will be the envy of your neighbors. Pomegranates (1 gallon): Pomegranates do well in our area. Great for eating and making juices. Hardy to 7 degrees and prefers soil pH of 5.5 to 7.2. They are very heat tolerant for our area. They have pretty orange flowers in the spring and are self-pollinating. WANT TO LEARN MORE?
