So many 9:00am (Eng); 10:30am (Eng) encounters are prefaced with the 12pm(Español) greeting or variations of same. Still we can find it next to impossible not to be afraid. Things seem HAPPY NEW YEAR beyond us, hopeless at times, and we battle for composure. Yet FELIZ AÑO God's promise to Abram and SaNUEVO 2015 rah is fulfilled. The examlos deseos del Padre Michael, ples coming from one family’s story Padre Antonio y personal bring us to a place of recognizing faith within the home, within the parroquial! family unit and the need to hand on that faith. Seeing your life through the Lens of the Gospel Luke 1:22-40 Simeon also acknowledged that not all would accept the light that would shine through Jesus, and this rejection would be a cause of pain to Mary. It can be a source of pain to parents, teachers, Church ministers, and all who work for others when some reject values, projects, advice which would be for their good. Perhaps a sword has sometimes pierced your soul as well. What has helped you to maintain hope in such times? Musing - Food for thought There’s a lot of talk these days about a person’s “Bucket List”, i.e. things to be accomplished before death - and the importance of ticking these items off the list. Yet, it’s a great (and perhaps rare) blessing if one reaches old age and can truly say "I have few regrets, I am very happy with how I have lived my life and, actually, there's nothing left that I really want to or need to experience - I am happy to go.” At that stage, perhaps we can make Simeon’s prayer ours: “Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples.” HORARIO DE MISAS Y CONFESIONES Dias Martes Viernes Sábado Domingo Domingo Misa 7:00pm 7:00pm 7:00pm 6:00am 2:00pm Confesiones 6:30-6:50pm 6:30-6:50pm 6:30-6:50pm NO CONFESIONES 1:30-1:50pm Holy Spirit School Registration for NEW students, Grades K-8 for Holy Spirit School, Fairfield, will be accepted during the month of January, 2015, in the School Office from 9:00am until 2:00pm daily. Intercessions for Life Let us pray for all families: That they may foster a loving environment that welcomes new life.
